ANNUAL REPORT FOR HELPING OTHERS WORLDWIDE 11/05/23 Isobel Carrick Here is an outline of the work of 'Helping Others Worldwide. for the year 2022/2023: The early part of this year was occupied with the accumulating, packing and documentin9 of materials donated for a container planned to go to a Vocational Training Institute run by Fields of Life in Uganda. In August 2022, this 40-foot container was loaded f rom the HOW warehouses. Contents included a tractor, trailer. agricultural machinery, gardening equipment, school desks and chairs, educational supplies and sewing machines. These will be used for the agricultural and tailoring courses at the Institute. Also to assist the primary schools run by Fields of Life in Uganda. After a lengthy, expensive clearance in Kampala, all the materials arrived saf ely and are currently in use. HOW has been able to donate several parcels of baby materials to be carried by hand to South East Asia to assist workers there. A container is planned for Senegal in 2023, God willing. This will help equip a new medical clinic which is currently under construction. There is already a lot of medical equipment and several pallets of materials accumulated and prepared for this load. The committee have continued to meet to plan and discuss all aspects of the work. We are thankful that the covid risk has lessened so that it is now possible to meet in person. Our dedicated team of workers have continued to assist throughout the year. We are very appreciative of their help and their encouragement. Donations f or the work have continued to be supplied in an amazing way. These have been used for transportation of the containers and to purchase some specific items requested which fulfil the aims and objectives of 'HOW.' We continue to keep our Networkers updated about the work through correspondence and speakin9 at meetings. We are th(￿kful to God for His constant faithf ulness throughout another year.
