Commission for Northern Ireland on 15th December 2014.
MAIIN ACTIVITIES
The charity's core purpose is the advanccment of the Christian faith. with a strong emphasis
on engaging.. equipping, and discipling young people. This mission is carried out through
residential discipleship and training programmes. partnerships with local churches and
community groups. a variety of outreach initiatiNes. and the facilitation of international mission

accordance with the organisation's governing documents, including the Memorandum &
Articles of Association, Memorandum of Agreement. and Memorandum of Understanding. All
activities and decisions remained consistent with the standards and guidance issued by the

OVERVIEW OF ACTIVITIES
Since its formation in 1995, the charity has provided oversight for the work of YWAM NI
across the region. During the reporting period. YWAM Nl has developed ministries in fiv¢
primary locations: Rostrevor, Belfast, Enniskillen, Newry.. and DerrylLondondery, each
contributing uniquely to the wider mission and vision of the organisation.
YWAM in Rostrevor-An Cuan Cenlre
YWAM An Cuan continued to function as a central space for community engagement and
relational connection within the area. Its programmes spanned youth work, intercultural
initiatives, creative arts, and wider village participation. Weekly youth game nights provided a
consistent, welcoming environment for young people to gathcr socially. whil¢ the centre's
involvement with a local church included support in worship, event set-up, and ongoing
maintenance.
An Cuan also played a significant rol¢ in scveral annual community events. The Multicultural
Kids Camp once again brought together children from a range of cultural backgrounds for a
free three-day programme centred on learning, friendship: and shared activities. The venue
remained a key location for the village-wide Fiddler's Green Festival, hosting concerts and
operating a cafe that served as a liN"¢ly meeting place for attendees.
Creative and family-oriented initiatives continued throughout the l'ear. The Children s Art Club
provided an enjovable artistic outlet for young participants, and the Annual Pumpkin Fest
offered a safe, family-fricndly altcrnative during the Hallowccn season, drawing strong

community engagement. Regular community worship nights created opportunities for residents
to gather in a welcoming space for fellowship and spiritual reflection.
Alongside these local initiatives, YWAM An Cuan continued its commitment to Christian
fom]ation and mission training. The centre ran an international Discipleship Training School
(DTS) with nine trainees. The outreach phase took place in Wales. where participants partnered
with homeless ministries: local church¢s. and a variety" of service projects. Additional training
opportunities included Online Peacebuilding Small Groups and a two-week Foundations for
Christian Peacebuilding course: both designed to strengthen skills for fostering reconciliation
and peace within communities.
Throughout the year, An Cuan remained steadfast in its vision to promote reconciliation,
nurture local relationships, and support spiritual growth through consistent service and
engagement.
YWAM in Belfast
YWAM Belt"ast maintained an active presence in the Belfast community through a wide range
of ministries and programmes. Regular gatherings: including Bible studies, worship nights. and
Community Nights, continued to offer consistenl opportunities for connection, fellowship, and
networking. The annual prayer walk on 11th - 12 July once again demonstrated the team's
ongoing commitment to reconciliation and peacebuilding in the city. Monthly open-mic nights
further contributed to fostering a cr¢ativc, inclusiv¢ Cnvironment. supported by various
additional one-off community events.
Throughout the reporting period. YWAM Belfast collaborated with several local initiatives
aimed at supporting ivln¢rable indiN'iduals and familics. Thes¢ partnerships included a school-

YWAM in Enniskillen
During the reporting period, YWAM Enniskillen continued its ministry operations from its
rented property at 8 Coop¢r Cr¢sc¢nt: a centrally locatcd and historically significant home that
provided new opportunities for outreach and hospitality.
In April and May. the Foundations for Counselling Ministries (FCM) training programme
entered its outreach phas¢. On¢ outreach team travelled to Bosnia-Herz¢govina, Lebanon and
Turkiye, while a second team worked in Spain and Portugal. Each location focused on
counselling initiatives and teaching seminars. Jwhile the majority of the FCM team was
deployed: a small group of staff remaining in Enniskillen hosted a Discipleship Training School
(DTS) team from YWAM Zapopan, Mexico.
During Summer 2024, overall staff numbers decreased due to various personal circumstances.
In addition. the FCM team from Monterrey experienced a significant health crisis, resulting in
a change to their original plans to continue the school in Enniskillcn. Despite thesc challenges,
YWAM Enniskillen continued io host numerous wisitors, the YWAM Ireland Staff
Gathering. and Mission AdN'entures teams from Harpenden. However. it became increasingly
evident that the organisation was entering a period of transition. Plans to host the Kingdoin
DTS from Rostrevor did not materialise: although the team was still able to visit for a week in
the autLllnn.
Local ministry activities continucd consistently throughout this period. These included a
Connect Group.. '10:4J
a weekly reflection lime held at the Clinton Centre and ongoing
partnerships with local churches and youth groups. By the end of March 2025, the staffing level
had reduced to two people who continued to sustain the ministy s core work. As more staff
m¢mb¢rs began transitioning into other projects: discussions were initiated regarding thc
formal closure of" the Enniskillen location.
??
YWAM in Ivewry
YWAM Ncwry continued to prioritise community cngagemcnt through the dev¢lopm¢nt of
their Fringe Coffee Co. initiative. In response lo the ongoing social fragmentation experienced
in the aftemiath of the pandemic. the team sought to create welcoming and accessible spaces
for meaningful interaction. This included regular outdoor coffee gatherings and the
establishment of a small roast¢ry. both designed to encourage conTrersation and connection
among local residents. Progress also continued on the renovation of a carawan intended to serve
as a mobile coft-ee unit, representing a key step toward their broader vision of creating a
dedicated Arts & Media centre in the city.

expression. YWAM Newrv also partnered with local charities such as PIPS to support mental
health awareness and to extend their reach within the communit),. Internationally.. the team
maintained ongoing connections with empowerment-focused projects in South Africa,
strengthening their commitment to both local and global ¢ngagem¢nt.
YWAM in Derry/Londonderry - Oak Grove
YWAM Oak Grove remained actively involved in community engagement and relationship-
building through a range of ministries. The team organised regular prayer walks, supported an
Alpha course in a local school, hosted small groups, and facilitated discussions focused on
Christian life and discipleship. Worship gatherings were held across the city and its Su￿ound1ng
areas: complemented by one-to-one prayer sessions that provided individual pastoral support.
YWAM Oak Grove also partnered with local organisations such as Youth Initiatives and the
Hope Centre, contributing volunteer support throughout the year. The ministry welcomed
several visiting YWAM teams and coordinated a dedicated outreach during the Derry
Halloween Festival. Their annual Christmas initiative, Trees of Hope, involved placing
Christmas trees in public spaces where members of the community could attach written prayer
requests. These prayer tags were then distributed to local churches, enabling congregations to
pray for the needs cxpress¢d by th¢ community.
FINANCES
Throughout the year. YWAM in Northern Ireland continued to manage its finances carefully
whil¢ keeping ov¢rh¢ads low. This simple and flexible approach has helped th¢ charity
continue its work and support local communities, even during a time when many organisations
across the country are facing financial pressure.
The annual accounts for YWAM NI Ltd were prepared using th¢ same accounting practices as
in previous years. The team kept thorough records and provided everything needed for the
independent examination, ensuring the financial report gives an honest and straightfo￿ard
picture of the charity s situation.
