Dunnaman Pre-school is an unincory)orated members association. The Pre-school is
governed by a Constitution document. Dunnaman Pre-school was previously named as
Dunnaman Children's Centre.
In the Year Ended 31 March 2024 a deficit of £19,972 (2023 deficit £7,034), was
generated on total income of £83,507 (2023- £131,483).

Objectives:
The group has been established to advance education and to preserve and protect
the health of children aged 3-5 years in the environs of Kilkeel, Co.Down by the
provision of play facilities and recreational activities in the interest of social
welfare with the obJ￿t of enhancing the education and development of children
without distinction of sex, race or of political religious or other opinions.
Dunnaman Pre-school will continue to serve the community in a time of great
economic restraint and post Covid recovery, and the trustees would again
commend the efforts of staff and voluntary workers in this regard.
The Trustees continue to be aware of the need to review operations and systems
regularly to ensure the Pre-school operat¢s safely and successfully for future
periods.

Achievements:
Dunnaman Pre-school greatly appreciates the support of all its funders. We
highlight in particular the valuable support of Southern Health & Social Care
Trnst, Education Authority, Child Care Partnership & Fairplay. The association
will continue to work to strengthen partnership relationships with all of our
fimders.
18 PEAGS funded places were provided from March- June 2023
24 PEAGS funded from September 2023 to March 2024
Provided 4 spaces for children with additional needs.
Extended Services Funding was secwed to provide speech therapist support to the
pre-school children staff and parents.
Secured funding for Getting Ready to Learn program.
Ran "Home Works Education" Big Bedtime Read" programs in Pre-school.

Continued partnership with St COIn￿n'S Primary School.
Future Plans:
cU￿entlY the Pre -school works very hard to maintain a valuable cornmunity
service, particularly, in a time of great economic pressure. Longer terni the aim
will be to expand the range of services provided and to secure the funding
required to help this become a reality.
Dunnaman Pre - School is aware of their duty to the local community and will
continue to strive to improve the educational and social welfare of the immediate
locality.
To register Dunnaman Pre- School as a Limited Company
To develop the outdoor play area which will meet the educational and physical
developmental needs of the children who attend.
Continue with provision of Getting Ready to |Learn Programs.
Continue with provision of Extended Services Speech and Language programs
Staff will continue to update trailling and attend relevant courses.
The curriculum for the age group in the Pre - School wiIl continue to be updated
and adapted to meet the needs of the children.
New resources will be sourced for the Pre-school to enhance children's
development and experiences.
Pre- School aim to become a standardised setting operating for longer hours.
Financial Review:
DuDnaman Pre-school will continue to ty to build sufficient reserves of funds to
provide a stable environment for future delivery of childcare community services
in the Kilkeel area.
