unaudited financial stalements for the financial year ended 31 January 2025.

The Trustees. Report contwn5 the informats'on required to be provided in the Trustees, Annual Report under the
Statement of Recommended Praciice {SORP) guidelines. The Iruslees ol the company are also charity Irusiees for the
Pufpose of charity law and under ihe companys consiitution are known as members of ihe board of Irusiees.
In this report the trustees of Annsborough Community Forum present a summary of its purpose. governance, activits'es,
achievemenis and finances for the financial year 31 January 2025.
The charity is a registered charity and hence the report and results are presented in a form which complies wilh ihe
requiTemenis of the Companies Act 2006 and. alihough not obliged to compty with the Stalemeni ol Recommended
Praciice applicable in the UK and Republic ol Ireland FRS 102, Ihe organisation has implemenied its recommendaiions
where relevant in these financial statements.
Principal Activity
Annsborough Community Forum alms to improve the quality of life for ihose living in Annsborough and the surrounding
area
Management
In January 2024, a new committee was elected at the AGM.
Review of Activilies, Achievements and Performance
Annsborough Community Forum owes and manages a communty hall facility in the village of Annsborough for the
social and Tecreaiional benefii ol locJ people.
The Trustees of Annsborough Community Forum have complied their duty to have due regard to the commissions
public benefit guidance when exercising powers and duties. During the fi'nancial year Annsborough Community Forum
continued to manage Annsborough Community Hail by..
providing facilities lo improve the condilions of lile for local people.,
promoting arts and culture..
promoting citizenship and develop capacty.
The benefits of meeting the above purposes included
increased community participation
social interaction opportunities
improved conditions of lile (improved wellbeinglreduced isolation)

for the financial year ended 31 January 2025
The trustees, who are also directors ol Annsborough Community Forum for the purposes of company law, are
responsible for preparing ihe financiaj staiemenis in accordance with applicable law and regulations.
Company law requiTe5 the trustees as the directors to prepare financial ￿ateMentS for each financial year. Under that
law Ihe trustees have elected to prepare Ihe financial ststements in accordance United Kingdom Generally
Accepted Accounting Praclice (United Kingdorn Accounling Siandards and applicable law) including FRS102 "The
Financial Reporting StandaTd applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" Under company law the trustees must not
approve the financial statements unless they are satisfied that they give a tnje and f￿[ view of the state of affairs of the
charity and of the net income OT expenditure of the charity for that penod.
In preparing these financial statements. the trustees are requiTed to=
select suitable accounting policies and apply them consisiently.,
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.,
state whether the financial staiements have been prepared in accordance wth the relevant financial reporting
framework, identify those stand￿dS. and note the effect and the reasons for any material departure from those
standards; and
prepare the financial statements on the going concem basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity
will cantinue in operaiion.
The trustees confirm that they have complied wsth the above requirements in preparing the financial statements.
The irusiees are responsible for keeping adequaie accounting records that are sufficienl lo show and explain the
charity's tTansactions and disclose wth reasonable accuracy at any time the financid position of the charity and enable
them to ensure that the fi'nancial staiements comply with the Companies Act 20D6. They are also responsible for
safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud

This report is made solely to the charitys members, as a body. in accordance wilh Chapter 3 of Part 16 ofthe Companies
Act 2006. Our work has been undertaken so Ihai we mighi compile the financial stalements that we have been engaged
lo compile. report to the Board of Trustees thal we have done so, and stale those matters Ihat we have agreed to state

responsibility to anyone other than the charity and the charitys members. as a body. for our work, or for this report.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees {who are dso the directors of the company for the purposes of company law) are responsible for
the preparation of the financial statemenis in accordance with the Tequirements of the Companies Act 2006. The
charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required IOT thi5 financial year under Chapter 3 01 Part 16 01 ihe Companies
Aci 2006 and Ihai an independenl examination is required.
It is our responsibility to:
examine the financial statements under section 65 of the Charities Act,.
follow Ihe procedures laid down by the general DiTection5 given by the Charity Commission lor Northern Ireland

Basis of independent examiner's report
We have examined your charity's financial siatements as required under seaion 65 of the Charities Act and our
examination was carried out in accordance ￿th the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern
Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act. An examination include5 a review of the accounting records kepl by
the charity and a comparison of the linanciai siaiemenis presenled with those records. It also includes consideraiion ol
any unusual items or disclosures in Ihe fftnanci￿ statements and seeking explanations trom the Irustees concerning any

Basis of preparation

Statement ol Financial Aclivilies and the Balance Sheet. Departures from the standard formals are to comply
with the requirements of Ihe Charities SORP and are in compliance wilh section 4.7, 10.6 and 15.2 of Ihai
SORP.

going concern basis and in accordance wih the Statement of Recommended Praclice ISORP) "Accounling and

in the UK and Republic of Ireland FRS 102"

The charity has availed of the exempiion in FRS 102 froffl the requirement to produce a cash flow statement

Income
Income is recognised by inclusion in the Slaiement of Financial Actsviiies only when the charity is legally enliiled
to the income, performance conditions altached to the ilem(s) of income have been met, the amounts involved
can be measured with sufficient reliability and il 15 probable that ihe income wll be received by the charity.
Income frorn charitable activities
Income from chariiable activilies include income earned from the supply of Se￿iceS under contractual
arrangements and from performance related grants which have conditions Ihal specify Ihe provision of particular
seNices lo be provided by Ihe charity. Income from government and oiheT C(Ftunders is Tecognised when the
charity is legally entitled to the income because it is lullilling the conditsons coniained in the related funding
agreemenis. Where a grani is received in advance, ils Tecognition is delerred and included in creditor5. Where
entitlement occurs before income is received. il is accrued in debtors.
Grants from governments and other Covfundefs typically include one of the following iypes of conditions..
Perlormance based condilions.. wthereby the charity is contractually entitled to funding only to the exlent that the
core obieciives ol ihe grani agTeement are achieved. Where Ihe charity is meeling the core objectives of a grant
agreement, it recognises the Tel￿ed expenditure, io the exteni that i( is reimbursable by the donor, as income.
Time based conditions.. wherety the charity is contraaually eniitied to funding on the condition that il is utili5ed
in a particular period. In ihese cases the chanty recognises the income to the exteni it is uiilised within the period
specified in the agreement.
In the absence of such conditions, assuming thai Teceipl is probable and Ihe amount can be reliably measured,
granl income is iecognised once the charity is notilied of entiilement.
Grants received iowards capiial expendrlure are crediied to ihe Statemeni ol Financial Activities when received
or receivable, whichever is earlier.
Expenditure
Expendiiure Is analysed between costs of charitable activities and raising lunds. The costs of each actlvlty are
sepaiately accumulaied and disclosed, and analysed according to their maioT cornponents. Expenditure is
recognised when a legal or constructive obligalion exists as a Tesult of a pasi event, a transfer of economic
benefits is required in settlemenl and Ihe amount of the obligation can be reliably measured. Support cosls are
those functions Ihal assist the work of the charity but cannot be attribute(i lo one aciivity. Such cosis are
allocated to activities in proportion to slaff time spenl or other suitable measure tor each activity.
Tangible tixed assels and depreciation
Tangible fixed assets are siaied at cost or ai valuation. less accumulated depreciation. The charge to
depreciaiion is calculated to write off the original cost or valuats'on of tangible fi'xed assets, less their estimaled
residual value. over their expected useful lives as follows..
