## Activities

**Purposes:** The Governors of the Gwyn Endowment to provide clothing, maintenance and education alone in Gwyn's Institution, or elsewhere in or near the City of Londonderry, as the Governors may from time to time think expedient, for as many male children, without distinction as to their religious persuasion, of poor parents resident in and belonging to the City or Liberties of Londonderry, or resident in or within one mile of the village of Muff in Co Donegal as the income of the Gwyn Endowment will permit; in the manner and subject to the conditions herein prescribed.  The Governors of the Young Endowment to provide clothing, maintenance and education, or education alone in or near the City of Londonderry, as the Governors may from time to time think expedient for as many female children of parents resident in and belonging to the City of Liberties of Londonderry, needing assistance from the Young Endowment, as the income of the young Endowment will permit; in the manner and subject to the conditions herein prescribed.  Provided that whenever the income of either of the said Endowments will permit, the Governors may extend the benefits thereof to necessitous and deserving children, belonging to the Counties of Londonderry, Donegal and Tyrone in the manner and subject to the conditions herein prescribed.
