CLLAKyfi T VILLAl3t Kt(>tNtI<A I IUN TRUSTEES REPORT- YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2017 NIC: 101178 Objectives and Activities The partnership organises events that are cross community such as the Christmas Lights Switch On, Christmas Market, Easter Eggstravaganza, Lower Bann Fishing Festival and the management of the Community Allotments. We also offer courses and classes, lectures and workshops and try to encourage a cross community ethos in all of our activities. We organise community outings and community events open to everyone, promote education, citizenship, community development, reconciliation, equality and a respect for the natural environment. Achievements an Performance Our charity has been successful in running the annual Christmas Lights Switch On which involves Santa distributing 250 selection boxes to the village children. We also have developed a good relationship with both primary schools which has in part assisted us achieve the successful switch on each year. We also organised the Lower Bann Fishing Festival, which was well supported by participants and spectators. Financial Review Bellaghy Village Regeneration is dependent on grant funding and fundraising to carry out its activities. Our grant funding to date is supported by Mid Ulster District Council. Total receipts for the year amounted to £1,616.31 and our payments amount to the value of £1,897.70 leaving a bank balance at year end of £785.25. It is Supporting Communities responsibility to". examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act to follow the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission under section 65(9) (b) of the Charities Act to state whether particular matters have come to my attention Basis of Independent Examiner's Statement Supporting Communities have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and an examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission Nl under section 65 (9) (b) of the Charities Act. The examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as charity trustees concerning any such matters.
