**Purposes:** The partnership is established to:  Promote a peaceful, inclusive, prosperous, healthy, safe and fair founded on thee achievements of reconciliation, tolerance and mutual trust and the protection of human rights for all residents of Bellaghy.   The Partnership will, at all times , abide by section 75 to the Northern Ireland Act (1998) formerly known as the Good Friday Agreement, and will have due regard to the need to promote equality of opportunity:-  Between persons of different religious belief, political opinion, racial group, age, marital status or sexual orientation.  Between men and women generally  Between persons with a disability and persons without; and   Between persons with dependents and persons without   In addition, without prejudice to its obligations above, the Partnership shall in carrying out all its functions, powers and duties relating to the residents of Bellaghy have regard to the desirability of promoting good relations between person of different religious belief, political or racial group.
