Objectives & Activities
The public benefit flowing from the puryoses of Moneymore Activity Group is to educate
members over 60 years of age who live in Moneymore and district about good health in its
broadest sense. Members will attend h¢alth related training courses such as confidence building.

this is that these individiials will be able to attend these activities in a serting close to their owm
honies. This will improl'e their qualit). of life, reduie isolation and encourage cross cominunitv
actii'ity in a ielatively isolated rural conununity. We will nieasure these benefits by regularly
consulting our niernbers who will help our Management c.ommittee to decide nn which actkiiities
th¢y wish to beknome involved with. We will also measui'e the benefits by regulai evaluation and
monitoring fonns vi'hich will be administered at the end of each actii'ity or gioup activities and
also measure tlie benefits by counting the nunibei"s at each actil'ity and recording the opinions of
the participants.

Compliance with Public Benefit
The Charity has given careful consideration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's
guidance on public benefit to ensure that the activities entered into during the year have helped
to achieve the Charity's objectives and activities, as well as providing public benefiL
Financial Review
Total Payments (£359) for the year ended 31 December 2023 were exceeded by Total
Receipts (£290) by £69, decreasing the total cash fi￿dS held to £4,248 from £4,317. Qages 6

Charitable Purposes
The charity is estsblished to promote the health of the inhabitants and community of the
Moneymore District area. The charity's strategy is aimed at over 60's, recognising the
importance of addressing social, economic and environmental infiuences on healdL without
distinction of sex, race, political. religious or other opinions by associating with the said
inhabitants, local authorities, public agencies and voluntary and other organisation in a
common effort to enable people to learn more about leading a healthy life> promoting good
health in its broadest sense.
Structure, Governance and Management
Moneymore Activity Group is a Registered Charity and is governed by the tern]s of its
constitution, which adopted by the membeiship on 12 June 2002. The Constitution w&s
updated and adopted by the membership on 25 September 2008. Moncymore Activity Group
is registered with the Charity Commission and is placed on the Northern Ireland register of
charities from 13 February 2015.
The objectives and activities of the Charity are administered by a Management Committee of
not less than 4 members of the Activity Group who are elected at the Annual General Meeting.
The Management Committee shall meet not less than once monthly from the period Septembcr
to June.
