TACA try to mitigate this urKertainty try ensurirE all donors are aware of the vital work carried out in relation to the promotion of Irish Language education. We do thi5 by informing them, through social media and print media, of the grants &ven by TACA to the various reciptents in the Irish language education sector. TACA is an imwrtant resour for the naiscoileanna and bunscoileanna that depend on small grants to cover basic costs. In the year April 2023 to March 2024 TACA made grants available to the Irish language education sector totaling £119,845. tnee5 and managernent are constantty seeking additional and new income streams to enhan projects. Direct beneffts will include promotion of and enjoyment of1ri5h language and literature and art in the area of benefit.These benefits are evidenced by the increasing number of children attending Irish larguage nurseries, primary schools and secondary schools. Finala1 review The trustees have consistently followed appropriate accounting principles with due diligen. The principal source of funding was that of public donation and is broken down in the
attached report andaccounts. TACA is indebted tothecontinued support ofthese small groups and individuals to carry out its objectives and activities. Structure, Governance and Management The organisation isa charitable companylimited by guarantee. The organisation is governed by a board of directors elected as part of the Annual General meeting. Responsibllity for the recruitment of new trustees with appropriate skills, knowledge or experience whichtheycan bring to the charity. These include personal recommendation, word of mouth and advertising to give wide range of applicants. Volunteers TACA is run on a dayto day basis with(rÉ pid memtw of stsff. However, due to the natureof the organisation beingestablished by Irish Language volunteers, the charity relies on unpaid volunteers to help with the smooth running of events via PTomotion, attendance, and hands on help. This culture of volunteering is always encouraged byTACA. Golng Concern At the date of approving the report and accounts we are not aware of any uncertainties relating tothe charities ability to continue as a going concern.
