## Activities

**Purposes:** The Group is established to advance education, and to promote the performing arts in the Galbally area and surrounds of Dungannon &amp; South Tyrone Borough Council area (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”).   The Group is established to educate and promote the benefit of inhabitants in the area without distinction of age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, class, marital status, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary and community sector organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants and in particular to:   4.1.1	promote and develop Drama and the performing arts for the benefit of the public and 	especially the young in the area of benefit;  4.1.2	provide and manage facilities for the education and training of people of all ages in Drama and the creative / performing arts;  4.1.3	encourage appreciation for and participation in Drama and Performing arts activities among young people in the area of benefit;  4.1.4	encourage and stimulate the artistic creativity of young people in the area of benefit by the provision of artistic performances, training, support and facilities for artistic expression;  4.1.5	to maintain and mange or co-operate with any local authority in the maintenance of a premises or centre or centres in the area of benefit for activities promoted by the Group;  4.1.6	provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for the recreation or other leisure-time occupation of people in the area of benefit who are in need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, disability or social or economic circumstances, with the object of improving their conditions of life;  4.1.7	present, promote, organise, manage and produce plays of cultural and educational value, including performances, dramas, comedies, operas, operettas, burlesques, films, broadcasts, television shows, concerts, musical pieces, puppet shows, ballets, entertainments and exhibitions.
