REPORT OF THE INDEPEI¥IDENT EXAMtNER TO THE TRUSTEES OF
O'LAVERTY TRUST
We have reviewed the financial statetnents for the year ended 5 AprÈl 2023 on pages three to
six.
Respective responsibilities of charity trustees and ex2miner
As the charity's trustees. you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance
with the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
It is our responsibility to:
examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act
follow the procedures laid doThn in the general diTections given by the Cotllmission under
section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act
state whether particular matters have come to our attention.
Basis of independent eIaminer's report
We have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and
our examination was ¢8Tried out in accordance with the general Directions givell by the ChaTtty
Commission for Northern Ireland under section 65{9)(b) of the Charities Act.
Our examination included a ieview of the accounting recor(Ls kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of any
unusual itens or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as charity
tnthes concerning any such matters.
Our role is to state wbether any material matters have come to our attention giving us cause to
belteve:
l. That accounting records were not kept in accordance with sectioll 63 of the c￿￿]tieS Act
2. That tbe accounts do not accord with those accounting records
3. That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the Chartties Act
4. That there is further infornlation needed for a proper ullderstandÈng of the accounts to be
reached.
