Activities
To promote the benefit of the Chinese Community ("the community") in Greater Craigavon, Banbridge, Dungannon, Armagh and their environs (the "area of benefit") by associating the Community, individuals and voluntary and statutory organisations in an effort to provide or secure the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for education (especially with regard to racial equality), health-preservation, recreation and other leisure-time occupation of those in the community who are in need as a result of their youth, age, disability, poverty or social and economic circumstances so that their conditions of life may be improved and in particular: - To advance the education of children and teenagers by providing or securing the provision of a youth club, after-schools club, and any other facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation, education that such children may to full maturity as individuals and citizens and that their conditions of life may be improved. -Establish appropriate facilities such as English classes for adults; a youth club and Chinese language and culture classes for all ages as well as setting up a community centre. i)promote the arts and raise awareness of the cultural identity, traditions, heritage and history of the community (primarily but not exclusively) for the benefit of the general public in the area of benefit; ii) to work towards the elimination of racial discrimination and to promote equality of opportunity and good relations between persons of different racial groups by working in partnership with voluntary and statutory organisations, businesses and the general public and to promote awareness among the general public and to promote awareness among the general public of the Race Relations Order N.I.; and the Equality Commission (N.I.).
