The Trust is a charitable company limited by guarantee and accepted as a charity by HM Revenue and Customs under reference X042994. The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out in note 1 to Ihe financial statements and comply wilh the charity's governing document, Ihe Companies Act 2006 and "Accounting and Reporting by Charilies.. Slatemenl of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 102) (as amended by "Amendments to FRS 102 - Triennial Review Incremental improvements and clarificats'ons" for accounting periods commencing from 1 January 2019)" obiects.ves and activities The charity's objects are to promote the benefit of Ihe inhabitants of Faughanvale and its surrounding areas, to provide day care to the elderly, young physically disabled, people with learning disabilities and mental health problems, as well as recreation and leisure facilities in the interests of social welfare and education and there has been no change in these during the year. The charities mein activities arc day re and Moving On Programmes. Tho waakly activitièg in the day centre are essential skills - English. Maths, educational. work experience, introduction to business activities, arts and crafts, cookery, drama workshops, environmental programmes, leisure activities and outings to places of interest. The charity also provides freshly made meals lo all the users of the service. Public Benefit The objectives of thg Trust are as listèd above. The Trust has considered the UK Charity Commi%sion' guidance on public benefit and plans lo ensure that it provides public benefit and achieves its objectives as set out in the Trust's Memorandum and Article5 ofAssocialion. The dired benefits to the individuals using the service include- The Pfomotion of social interaction and combaling lonelines5', Creating a sense of belonging., Stimulating the development of indiwduality and choi¢e-, and Supporting and developing essential life skills encouraging independence. The trustees give careful consideration to ar£essibility for all without discrimination on grounds of politics, religion, race, sexual origination, social or economi¢ background. The Trustees have also taken Cognisance of the UK Charty Commission's Guidance on Public Benefil and plans to ensure that this is achieved wilhin our objectives as set out in the Trust's Memorandum and Articles of Association. To further this, Faughanvale Community Project has extended its range of conlacl and invilation to the wider EglinlonlGreysteel community lo engage in FCP activities, enterlainment, in-house training for our staff and service users and work experience. This is increasingly being taken up and benefils the wider community and service users in terms of wider social integration beyond the centre and family. The nature of such involvement includes.. Educational programmes Music and drama Arts and crafts Sports activities Diversional activities Planned outings The public benefit sought is attained through working in partnership with various statutory and educational bodies, social enterprises, voluntary agencieslgroups, businesses and schools.

Eolinton., St Vinp.p_nt de P8LAI: Presbyterian Women's Association (PWA)- Mother's Union,. Men's Shed. Eglinton. Businesses provide work experience for our Moving On Programme. They also participate in planned activities including our 'out of hours, entertainments such as Easter, Halloween and Christmas. The businesses are: Nicholl Fuel Oils-, Nicholl Supemiarket- Braidwater Enterprises., Hogg & Mitchell Enterprises., W J O'Brien & Son, Funeral Directors," Alec Orr Motors. The opportunity for work experience supports public benefft. The Se1 users are increasingly contributing within the communty through their increased involvement with the above and the training opportunities available in FCP thus lending to the publiG benefit. Achievements and perforniance Duriiig the financial year lo 31 March 2024 Faughanvale commun Project continued to achieve rts objecttve to provide day care to the eldedy and disabled. The ntre was able to provide care 3 days per week to a number young disabled persons, people with leaming difficulties and the Elderly. Faughanvale Communty Project also provided meals on wheels throughout the fvll year, seTwcing 40 people per day, 4 days per week. A luncheon club was held one day per week when up to 10 people from the lo1 community join our service users for lunch and entertainment. Financial review The resutts for the year are set out on page 7. Total incoming resources for the year were £169,616 (2023 - £164,266) of which 860A was generated from Westem Trust contracts. Total resources expended were £177,540 (2023 - £184.818) of whith 1 ¢)OQh was expended on direct charitable activities. The balance of total funds at the year end was £210.216 of vthich £109,932 was unrestricted, £2.679 was restricted and £97,605 wa5 designated in nature. Reserves policy It is the policy of the charity that unrestricted ftjnds which have not been designated for a specifi¢ use should be maintained at a level equivalent lo betsveen three and six month's expÈndtture. The truslees considers that resetves at Ihis level will ensure that. in the event of a signtficant drop in funding. they will be able to continue the charity's current acttvtties while consideration is given to ways in which additional fvnds may be raised. This level of reserves has been maintainetl througholrt the year. The Trust aims to continue to increase its reserves to ensure the stsbilty of its serwces, employment and everyday operations of the organisation. The trustees have assessed the major risks to which the charity is exposed, and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate exposure to the major risks.

The company was incorporated on 30 November 2003 and is governed by its Memorandum and Articles of Association. Mp.mnr2ndiim and Articles of Association unless otherwise determined by the company in a General Meeting, the number of Trustees shall not be less than three. In the financ¢al year no new Trustees were appointed and none resigned. The Board as a whole was approved by theAGM and conlinues to monitor ils membership. None of the trustees has any beneficial interest in the company. All of the trustees are members ot the company and guarantee to contribute £1 in the event of a winding up. The Board oftrustees which administers the Trust meets throughout the year as required.

Report and the financial statemenls in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United lfjngdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice). Company Law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the stste of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources, induding the income and expenditure, of the tharitable company for that year. In preparing ihese financial statements, the Irustees are required to: select suitable accounting polieS and then apply them consistently. - observe the methods and principles in the Charrties SORP. - make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and pmdènt" and prepare the financial statements on the going cOnM basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the Charity will continue in operation. The trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that disdose wtth reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Companies Ad 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the agsÈtS Df thp. ptharity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
