Panda Cross Community Playgroup was establlshed to promote play based learnlng envlronments
for all chlldren under statutory school age of the area Served Bally9awley ond Ca5tlecaulfleld
elertoral wards and Its surroundlng envlrons In County Tyrone (herelnafter called the "area of
benefiv) wlthout dSstlnctlon of age, gender, marltal 5tatU5, d15ablllty, sexual 0￿entatIOn,
nationallty, ethnlc Identlty, political or religiou5 opinion, by associating the statutory authorities,
communlty and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advance
education, and in parbcular.. al to advance the education of the benefld4ries by the provision of
safe and satisfying group play, with the right of parentslcarers to take respon51blllty for and to
becorne involved in the activities of the group* and to promote the preservatlorb of health of the
beneflclarfes; and b) ta support the values and prtndples of Early Year5.
The prlnclpal actlvlty of the chadty Is provldlng pre-sthool education to chlldren aged 3 - 4 years
under the Early Years Currtculum In conjunctlon wlth the Southem Health and Sodal Care Trus¢
Department of educatlon and Earty Years - the oryan15atlon for Chlldren and Young People.

The Trustees of Panda Cross Community Playgroup confirm that they have complled with thelr
duty under section 4(6) of the Charitles Att (Northem Ireland) 2008 to have regard to the Charlty
Commlsslon for Northern Ireland's guldance on publlc beneflt and that the publlc benefit
requirement has infomied the actlvitles of the charlty In the year ended 31 July 2022.

The Trustees have established the charlty as a progresslve enterprtse that supports the
development of a wlde range of pre-school chlldren from dlfferent communI￿e5 In the area.

Organlsatlonal Strurtur•
Panda Cross Community Playgroup is a charity administe￿ and managed in accordance with Its
constitution, by the members of the Management Commlttee, constituted by dause 5 of the
constitutlon. The constotutlon was formally adopted on 29 January 2014 by the Members at the
Annual General Meetlng.
In accordance wlth the constitutlon, commlttee members may hold Offi￿ for a perfod of up to 3
years and shall retire In rotstlon wlth the longest servlng one thlrd to retlre at each Annual
Gener81 Meetlng. If It Is not posslble to detemine that, then the third to retlre shall be
deternilned by drawlng lots. On ret6rement. members wlll be ellglble for re-nomlnatlon and
electlon.
Truste￿. Responsibilltles Statement
The trustees are responsible for preparong the Trustees, Annual Report and the accounts In
accordance wlth appllcable law.
The trustees are responslble for keeplng proper accountlng records that disdose wlth reasonable
accuracy at any tlme the flnancjal posltlon of the charfty and enable them to ensure that the
accounts comply wlth the Charttbes Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 and the Charfues (Accounts and
Reports) Regulations (Northem [￿land) 2015. They are also responslble for safeguardlng the
assets of the tharlty and hence for taklng reasonable steps for the prevent5on and detectlon of
fraud and other Irregularfves.
