The trustees present thelr report and financial statements for the year ended 31 MaTch 2019.
'Background
The purpose of Tobemiore Community Projects is to promote the benefft of inhabitants of the Tobrermrfj and
district area in terms of advancing education, and to prowd& factlib'es in the interests of S￿la1 welfare, for
recreation or other leisu￿ other ￿Sure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of lrfe for
the said inhabi18nts.
Structure. govemanca and management
The organisation 1$ a tharitsble associab'on. The association was established under a Constitution which
established the aims and obiecbves of the charitabie association.
Tobem)ore Community Prc4ects has a crossrycommunty focus and is managed by 8 voluntsry committee
which is elected annudly.
The appointment of committee in accordance the Charivs constitut￿n, whereby each member will be
enlilled lo nominate one person only in writing not le58 than seven days beft•re the date of the Annual General
eellng.
The management of the Committ￿ is ¢)veTseen by the Chairp8rson, Treasurer and Secrgtary. thg ¢ommittee
meets regularly throughout the year and hold 8n AGM once a year.
Objectlves and actlvltles
The objects of the charity are..
To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Tobemore and district area of Co Londondery and its
environs Ihereinafter described as "tho area of benefiY'} without distinction of age. sex. race, polrtical religious
or other opinion by assouating the statutory authortties. voluntsry organisations and inhabilants in a common
effort to advance education, and to prowde faeilTb"es in the interests of soual wetfare. for reerealion or other
leisure lime occupation wrth the object of improwng the conditions of lrfe for the Sa￿ inhabstanls. To establish
or to secure the establishment of a Communty Centre Ihereinafter ealled Yhe Centre'l and maintain it and to
manage to ¢Othoperate wrth lttal statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such a Centre for
.actiMtie8 promoted by the Projects and its constituent bodies in furtherance of Ihe above objects.

and construct, maintain and aiter any buildings or erection8 which the Projects may think necessary for the

Projects. Employ and pay any petson or persons. not being a member of the management Commritee

Achievements and performance
MILL PARK
Mlll Park has been a great as501 to the vlllage but 18 In need of Improving and modemi8ing. Meetings took
place with Mid Ulster District Councll who agreed to invest £40,000 in an improvement PToje¢t. Work
commènced in February 18 and was Comploted in May 18. The work will extend the existing play park, add
new ple￿ of play equipment. provided sealing and tamiac lo the paths around tho play park and lennls courL
Funding was secured during tho ygar from EB (Northern Irglandl Ltd of £16,253 which was used to Tem¢)ve
old flower planters and iepl8ced them with a new paved area, bordered with planter5 and new seatlng.
EVENTS
TCP has org8nl8ed a number of successful events in the past year. We have organlsed an autumn fair,
Senior Cltlzens Christmas Dinner, Chrfstmas Ilghls switch on, Children's Chdslmas party and a number of
soclals.
MCKINNEY HALL
The McKinnoy H811 continues lo bo well used by a number of groups wlthln the Tobermore communlty. Awide
range of activitigs lake place in the hall. Everythlng from Netball to County and We81em conGerts. ivs great
to see the hall well used by the whole o)mmunity.
WAR MEMORIAL
A commill8e has been Sel up lo manage the ￿lIageS War Memorfal. The surplus money from the War
mamorial collection has been transferred into a Separate bank account and wlll be used to upkeep the War
memorial into the fvture.
Financlal review
The committee wlll continue to conduct annual revlews of the appropriate level of unrestrtcted reserves. The
purpose of thi3 reserve is to provlde stsbility for the ¢harlty to ensure that it 15 able lo honour existing
contractual obligations, to cover unforesgen ev8nts beyond the organisatlon's control and lo enable il to
continue its operations in the unlikely event of 8 signrficant flu¢tualion in expenditure or income.
The committ99 aim lo build reserves lo a11gast 3 months of annual expenditure. This may be achleved by
increased fund raising. increasing earned income or ￿duC￿n9 expenditure.
The present level of reseTves avallable to the charlty is £39,313 whlth is deemed satisfactory.

Statement of tru8tse8' responsibilities
The Constitution requires the committee to prepare finawal statements for each financial year which give a
true and fair view of the Slate of affairs of Tobermore Communty Projects and of the surplus or deficit for that
period. In preparing those financial stslements, the committee are ￿QuIred to:

- make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.
- P￿pare the financial statements on the going concern basts unless it k8 inappropriale to presume that
Tobemore Community Projects will continue in bLtsiness.
The committee a￿ responsible for keeping proper accounting record8 which disclose wlth reasongble
accuracy al any lime the financial position of Tobernore Communty Projects and lo enable the committee to
ensure that the finanoal slalemenls comply wth the Constitution. The Committee are also responsible for
safeguarding thé assets ol TObemO￿ Community Projects and hence for taking reasonable $tgp$ for the
prevention and detection of fraud and other irregutarities.
