The Association entered the finanoal year with a determination to rebuild its artivities and its role in the local community as the community came through a number of extended lockdowns as a result of the pandemic. There was significant interruption to our activities during the course of the pandemic but members and volunteers had been attive in the local community SUPPOrting vulnerable people and households faong challenges as a result of the experience of the previous two years.

Throughout this year Annadale and Haywood Residents As$003tion supported and provided space for a variety of 8roups including the mums and tots group, the youth dubs. a senior otizens club and host the men shed group with weekly indoor bowling se55ions.. Our mums and tots group has been 8oin8 extremely well over the past year with them participating in a variety of trips and actiwties. They have enjoyed having photo shoots and makin8 sentimental keep sakes from their children's young years, many of the mums that attend have made new friendships that reside within the group and also outside of IL Our youth club has really taken off this year and the children have enjoyed doing cross community programs along with summer scheme and in house activities. The youth have created many VI￿nderfUl things this year and have also hosted an end of summer scheme summer fair. They have partaken in a variety of external educational trips and it is evident that they are enjoying their time in youth dub and developingthe social skills and confidences through opportunities which the pandemic had previously denied them. Our senior citizens Eroup have partaken in a verity of tea dances this year linked in with other groups and have enjoyed art classes and healthy eating and wellbeing projects. The regular indoor bowling sessions which have started up and are supported by the Association has brought a larEe number of older men into the centre on a regular basis and we have seen how this has directly benefitted the well-being and improved the general outlook of this group in our community, a group which Pfeviously it has been difficult to engage with. We have hosted a number of cross community projects this year along with well being projects and a variety of events to the wider community such as community mental health nights, Easter and summer fair, Christmas carol services and Santa sleighing through the area. Over the course of the year a number of members of the Association retired from the Committee and from membership. these members had played a key role in re-establishing the Association and its activitie5 during the difficult year of 2019 and our thanks to them has been recorded. We have also welcomed new members and a new Chairman and there is much optimism in the Centre as members, staff and volunteers continue to demonstrate a huge commitmentto the Association and its role in the local community. The committee continues to review the governance of the Association and the first stage of a Good Governance Health Check w35 completed in the fourth quarter; the Association continues to review all its activities and supporting policies and procedures including the management, Maintenan￿ and security of the Community Centre and shall continue to do so going forward. Our Public Benefit The committee members and trustees annually reflett on our activities set against our st3ted Public Benefits, which are. Annadale and Haywood Re5ident5 association provides direct benefit to the locol community by providing progrommes and artivities oimed ot addressing issues of poverty ond

porticularly those issues offerting people as o result of their age, their stote of health and geneml well-being. The Associotion 0150 provides on indirect benefit in assisting other groups in the locality, i.e. stotutory bodies, youth ond community groups and churche5 better torget and deliver their services ond artivities to those in need in our community. Annodale and Hoywood Residents Association 0150 provides o wider public benefit to the wider community in Northern Ireland by providing support. assistance and other benefits to those in need within the area of benefit,. it is in the interests of the wider community that Annodole and Hoywood residents association continues to help those in need in the Annadale area. The committee, followin8 a consideration, believes that the work of the Association continues to contribute to the public benefit by running activities across the generations, providing access to health and educational resources by provTding direct services to and transport to those who need it, within our area of benefit and in workingtogether with our partners to provide, prornote and enhance servi￿$ available to local people.
