Donemana Haven Chair erson's Re ort ril 2023 - 31•t March 2024 I'm delighted to provide the Annual Report for Donemana Haven for year ending 31 March 2024. st It still has been a challenging and successful year with the cost of living increases affecting all rural dwellers. We are pleased to report that we have continued to maintain a reliable ServIS of meals on wheels to dwellers in the Donemana, Artigarvan, Ballymagorry, Bready and Magheramason areas.This is a life line for many vulnerable elderly people who live in a rural area and are totally housebound and continue to live in their own homes. The luncheon club is still up and running and numbers range from 8 to14 people. This service helps members with social isolation and mental health issues in the rural area. We have also linked up with the CARE Programme which offer different activities after the luncheon club. l am pleased to report that we have been successful in securing funding from DAERA Micro grants and the CARE programme. This funding was used to purchase new tableware equipment for the kitchen & 2 insulated boxes to use with the meals on Wheels. The funding ensures we continue to deliver an affordable seNice for all older people in the Community area.we also had some activities Finally I wish to thank our Funders and also all those who volunteer and Hilltop cafe to deliver this service. Without your support and dedication we would not be able to provide this valuable service to the elderly people in the area.Thank you also to all those who support us in Dennett Interchange and also to everyone who receives the meals on wheels service.
