Friends of Abbey PTA Charity Registration Number IYIC100978 Trustees, Annual Report for the year ended l October 2022 Objectives and activities (continued) During the year the charity organised a number of events in order to achieve their charitable purposes. Due to COVID restrictions within the year we ran events such as a movie day during school hours, a Christmas Ballot, and a clothing collection. Our main focus in the latter part of the year was on getting back to face-to-face events after the lifting of restrictions. The con]rnittee organised a very successful and much enjoyed Spring Fair and P7 Disco. Achievements and Performance Usually the school have a 'wish list, of items that they would like to purchase. The PTA were able to provide additional funding towards these extra resources not provided for by the school budget. These resources are used to compliment the curriculum and make our children's learning experience more fulfilling and exciting, PTA events not only raise funds, but also promote a positive presence within the community and bring a feeling of togetherness within the school. Publie Benefit Statement In setting objectives and planning activities for the year the Trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit and are confident that the activities have helped to achieve the charity's purposes and provide a benefit to the beneficiaries.
