Donaghmore PS PTA Trustees' Report October 2022-September 2023
The PTA organised a number of fundraising events which were extremely well supported by those connected to the school, and by the wider community.
In December the PTA produced Christmas hampers which were raffled to raise funds. A cake sale and Guess the Name of the Teddy competition was also organised. In February a table quiz was held in Dungannon Rugby Club.
In October 2022, the PTA arranged for each class to attend the Apple Festival held at Palace Stables, Armagh. The children stepped back in time to learn about palace life in 1786. They made apple potato bread and apple juice. They learned the story of apples from farm to fork and created a souvenir apple craft to take home.
The PTA purchased new blinds for each classroom and arranged for hedges to be trimmed around the school enhancing the children’s play environment.
The PTA was also pleased to provide refreshments for Christmas events and Sports Day.
