Governance
The Group is governed by its Constitution and Rules, copies of which are available from the
Chairperson. I he Groilp is consiituted a5 an association. The Trustees were appointed by the
Comiiiiilee.
Objectives and Activities
Friends of Stewart5town Primary School I'the Group") was formed in September 2013 to help
-hool staff by supporting them in organising activities and events, and raising funds to
help Lhe whole school community. The Group received charitable status in December 2014.
Objects
l. To relieve poiiertii, sickness and the aged, and to promote the benefit of the
inh.at.itantS Oi tlie district and surrounding area of Stewartstown and its environs,
without distinction Oi age, gender, race, political, religious or other opinion
2. To provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-
time occupation, with the object of improving the cond.itions of life for the said
inhal.it3nts.
3. To preserve OL'I- histoi-y and heritage for all.
4. To act as a charity, raise money for charity and organise events to raise funds for
Stewartstown Primary School
5. To e5tabli5h or to secure the establishment of a Community Centre

In the current financial period, the following fund-raising events have taken place;

The trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public

Achievements and Performance
The iyiain achievemeni of the Group during the year was advancing the education of the
childi-an of Stewartstown PS, by making donations, so that resources can be purchased that
aren't available otherwise.
Finar.cial Review
All monies raised by or on behalf of the Group shall be applied to further the objects of the
Group, and for no other purpose, except for legitimate out-of-pocket expenses to members
of the Group, engaged upon the approved business of the Group.
The CJfoLIP raised £10,177 during the year to 31 March 2024 (2023: £12,816), and had
associated expenses of £12,108 (2023.. £14,928). Cash donations to the school were £1,429
during the period12023'. £1,632), and donations via equipment and other resources were
£10,18312023.' £12,196).
Preparation of Accounts
The accounts were prepared using the cash basis. Accounts aro for the 12 months to 31
MarcFI 2024. The corr.paratives are for the 12 months to 31 March 2023.
