**Purposes:** The Club is established to relieve poverty, advance education and to promote the preservation and protection of health among older people and promote the benefit of older people in Cookstown and its environs of Co Tyrone (hereinafter called the "area of benefit") and in particular:  a. To provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for older people;  b. To raise awareness among the general public of the needs and experiences of older people in the area of benefit.
