- Bannagh Community Project Trustees Report 2023 4

Bannagh Community Project continues to provide a venue for various activities which enhance the educational, social and cultural life of the diverse and widely spread remote community which it serves. Run on an entirely voluntary basis, it is nonetheless well managed and offers a range of regular activities such as patchwork, art, music and pilates. On a less regular basis card playing and quizzes take place. Bannagh Hall continues to offer a venue for birthday parties and other meetings (e.g. farmers groups, AED training etc.) and lends out chairs, tables and crockery etc. to funeral wakes and family celebrations for a voluntary donation. A BBQ was held this year, and a successful exhibition was staged in Fermanagh House, Enniskillen by the Art Group. A baking course ran for a week in August, especially for children. The annual draw continues to provide a valuable input in regard to insurance costs. A visiting TV production unit used the hall for the filming of an episode of “Four in a Bed” involving a local Boa Islander running her pilates class! Regular annual outgoings include insurance, boiler maintenance, fire certification, entertainment licencing, electricity, oil and general building upkeep. Bannagh Community Project is currently in its thirty fifth year, during which time it has relied entirely on the good will of our many volunteers who continue to give of their time and expertise to ensure the future of the organisation.
