The financial statements for the charitable wmpany were prepared for the perii)d 1¢ April 2018 to 31° March 2019. For the a¢¢ounting year to 3151 March 2018 th¢ company was entitl￿ to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies and the accounts We￿ prepared in hccordance with the provisions applieable lo companies subject to the small companies regime and with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008). They also ¢omply with the Charities, SORP (FRS 102) Objeetives 4nd Actlvities The PUryM)ses of the Charity are: "To promote the benefit of the inhabÉtants of the Kilkeel area and its environs (the'area of benefit") without distinction of sex. race or political. religious or other opinions by advancing education and providing facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other letsure time occupation with the object of improvin8 the conditton of life for the said inhabitants." Its main activities during the year fvlly supported the charithble putposes. namely, in maintaining facilities in the centre of Kilkeel which were accessible to all and in these premises providing numerous educational pmgrdms and socia] occasions for the public benefit. KCA'S detennination to improve life in the envirnns in Kilkeel led to an Increase in the list of a￿1vitieS and events implemented during the y¢ar. Tbe F8cilitio8 During the y¢ar KCA'S f￿lIttl¢S are rented in which our Cfrordinator works to organise t¢￿hers, talkers and demonstrators to provide a range olinteresting and educational classes to older people. The Cfrordinator also ha5 the duty of fulfilling grant applications to ensure the ruTming of the office and sufficient funds are procured from grant bodies to provide for the classes. Her hard work in this is grate￿IlY appreciated by the whole board. The Educational Programs During this period of April 2018 to March 2019, KCA delivered the following range of ¢lasses and proLrdmmes that were in line with the objective5 of the eharity: Boecia. Art Classes (Ioweeks x 2 sessions). Christmas ArL Bettie Drive, Talk on Maritime ProjecL Hislory of Br(MKhes. Streetwise Community Circu ICT, Mobile Phone. A number of progrdms were in conjunction with Kilkeel Men's Shed such as Icr, Mobile Phone atMI Art. The year also saw an expansion on the n￿n￿r of events attended which included: AAA Screening, Home Safety Workshop. Chall¢ngingF our Condition Workshop ( This for 6 weeks). Intergenerdtional Workshop, Southem Area Men's. Health & Wellbeing Event in Kilkeel, Driving Skills Uplate, Good Morning S¢rvic¢lGood Neighlw. Outing to Ulster Transport Museum, Young at Heart Retirement Living Exhibition, Artisati MarkeL The Bloomsday Brexkf&st, Positive Aging Evenl - Newry, Posilive Aging Wellbeing Ev¢nt- Kilkeel and an Outing to Crumlin Gaol with Kilkeel Men's Shed. The Welfar¢ of Inhgbitants Progrdms that ran IA conjunction with welfare of the inhabitants of Kilkeel &8 its main aim included: Yoga Taster. Lunch in Hanna's close. KCA Get Together. Cinema - Nemryy. Nutriti£￿ Based Tatk, Reflexology {2 sesstons). Take 5 Talk on Mcntal Health. Chri5trnL8 Lunch in SRC in Newry. The outings w¢re aTrang¢d to help increase a sense of community for all those that attcnded the c1&85¢s and the talks.

Financial Review KCA has no recognised gains or Ioss¢s as money ts accrued as grdnt applicatio are approved and funding is obtsined to run the ¢I￿se5.
