GILLYGOOLEY YOUTH CLUB TRUSTEE REPORT FOR YEAR ENDING APRIL 2019
During 2018 – 2019 the youth club has gone from strength to strength.
Club members have participated in a variety of activities both in centre and different venues like Aladdins kingdom and Pizzarma. In the centre they enjoy a variety of sporting and craft activities on a weekly basis which includes uni- hockey football team games and dancing. We also have a tuckshop which the kids can get treats at the end of the night.
It is a great testimony to the leader’s and trustees that the club receives very positive feedback on the behaviour and respect shown by members towards each other and other members of the general public when visiting other centres for activities.
In order to encourage community awareness and participation the club members help to decorate the hall and wrap the presents for the Senior Citizen’s Christmas Party. Some members also help to provide the entertainment and the interaction is enjoyed by both young and old alike.
A project this year was gather food to create food hampers to donate to the homeless this Christmas. This was a great success and extremely rewarding.
We look forward to planning the new activities for 2019 -2020.
