Our aim is to give as much freedom of choice to children as possible. We achieve this by having weekly Kids Inn discussion meetings, to gather ideas and personal interests from the children. We then draw up our programmes around these interests.
-
« The play workers set up optional daily activities for the children to participate in
-
° The playworkers aim to extend the children’s play opportunities by providing them with resources required to build on and further their ideas
-
« The play workers will give the children their own space to develop ideas in play and will only intervene if the child requests for them to do so of for health and safety reasons
We have boundaries and agreed rules within the group which are on display, the aim of this method is to promote positive behaviour.
All play workers are made aware ofthe[play][values][and][principles][at][their][induction][and] implement these within their practice daily. We also aim to provide training in order to support the play workers continued professional development.

Parental information
At Kids Inn we are managed by a voluntary committee of present and past parents. We strive to improve the service we provide and are always working towards future improvements. This is something we cannot achieve without the help of service users- our parents. We are continuously encouraging parents to attend committee meetings and have their say/ideas in their child/children’s childcare provision. Kids Inn committee meet monthly to ensure the smooth running of the organisation.
Parents are given a parental handbook at registration with all relevant information and some of our policies and procedures are including all parent’s sign up to policies and procedures and complete consent forms at registration. Parents are made aware that they can view all our policies and procedures and their child’s files at any time.
The Trustees have had regard to the Public benefit guidance issued by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.
The results of the charity’s activities during the year and of its position at the year end are included in the Receipts and payments account on page 8 and the Statement of assets and liabilities on page 9.
