Kids Inn After School Club is governed by a constitution dated 29, January 2012 and registered with the
Ih
Charity Commission for Northern Ireland on 28 November 2014 under charity number NIC100918.
Our Vlsion
At Kids Inn our vision is to provide high quality play care for children that will differentiate us and enable
us to become the childcare provider of choice for families in the local communities.
At Kids Inn children will play, learn and develop in a safe and secure environment providing positive play
experiences in their childhood, from a qualified, experienced and passionate staff team.

environment which will contribute to everyone's learning and development.

We are committed to proving our staff with equal opportunities for learning and personal development
to encourage innovation and continuous improvement in the effectiveness of Kids Inn and to promote
respect and great parent-practitioner relationships.
Values
At Kids Inn we believe that play is a natural, healthy activity and that providing good quality plav
opportunities mean5 ensuring choice, equality of opportunity, recognising children's abilities, respecting
child ren's needs and wishes and allowing children space, time and understanding for play.
Kids Inn is primarily an After.school club setting and is a registered charity. At Kids Inn we provide put of
school care for children aged 4-12 years old. This enables parents in the local communities to be able to
work, train or return to further education in the knowledge their children are being cared for in a safe,
secure and stimulating environment. Kids Inn has been in operation since January 2001, at present we
cater for 30 children at any one time. The club is open from 2pm until 6pm every day during term time
and operates from 8am to 6pm during school closures. The club offers a full-time summer scheme over
the summer months. At Kids Inn we offer the children a varied programme of activities which are
planned around their development, interests and idea5. These activities include arts and crafts, cookery,
games, opportunity for outdoor physical and challenging play etc. Kids Inn is registered with the
Western Health and Social Care Trust and is inspected annually.

Objectives
Is to offer a welcoming, secure, safe, stimulating and healthy environment by providing the following:
Caring, f riendly, motivated, experienced and qualified staff
A bright, attractive and welcoming Club where parents feel content leaving their children
A high standard of up-to-date policies and procedures to adhere to
Safe, educational and stimulating equipment and resources
A high standard of supervision from play workers always
A healthy a nutritious snack and foods throughout the day.

Aims and Objectives
At Kids Inn we aim to provide a variety of play opportunities and experiences that meet all children's
individual needs and interests as well as contributing to their learning and development. We have a
weekly planner displayed for parental viewing and base our pan around children's interests, idea5 and
needs. We provide activities such as..

Our aim is to Eive as much freedom of choice to children as possible. We achieve this by having weekly
Kids Inn discussion meetings, to gather ideas and personal interests from the children. We then draw up
our programmes around these interests.
The play workers set up optional daily activities for the children to pa rticipate in
The playworkers aim to extend the children's play opportunities by providing them with
resources required to build on and further their ideas
The play workers will give the children their own space to develop ideas in play and will onlv
intervene if the child requests for them to do so of for health and safety reasons
We have boundaries and agreed rules within the group which are on display, the aim of this method is
to promote positive behaviour.
All play workers are made aware of the play values and principles at their indLtction and implement
these within their practice daily. We also aim to provide training in order to support the play worker5
continued professional development.
Additlonal Needs
At Kids Inn we recogni5e that children with disabilities and learning disabilities have the right to services
and facilities in such a way that they can achieve the fullest possible social integration and individual
development.
Kids Inn aims to provide access and support for children with individual needs and requirements. At
kids. inn we will make every effort to ensure that children with special needs are integrated with other
children and adults. We will also ensure that there is a range of equipment and resources to support
ind ividual learning and development.
The role of The Early Years Team
Kids Inn works closely with The Western Health and Social Care Early Years Team to ensure we provide
the best possible environment and service to ensure the children are cared for in a safe, welcoming
environment where they can flourish. Kids Inn is inspected annually by WHSCT and all records are
available for parents to view.

Parental Information
At Kids Inn we are managed by a voluntary committee of present and past parents. Wp strive lo improve
the service we provide and are always workine towards future improverne.nts. This is something we.
cannot acliieve. without the help of service users- our parents. We are continuously encouraging parents
to atte nd cominittee meetings and have their saylidcas in their childlchildren's cliildcare provisioii. Kids
Inn comniittee meet monthly lo ensure the smooth running of the or6aiiisation.
Pai'ents are give.n a parental handbook at registration with 311 relevant information aiid some of our
policies and pror.e.dures are including all parent's sign up to policies and procedures and complete
coiisenl forms at fegi5tration. Parents are niade aware that they can view all our policies and
proced ures and their child's filcs at any time.
The. Trijstees hove had regard to the Public beiiefit guidance issued by the Charity Commission for
Northern Ireland.
