## Activities

**Purposes:** The title of the Association shall be the “Friends’ School Lisburn, Old Scholars Association”. The primary object of the Association shall be to advance the education of the pupils of Friends’ School Lisburn through:  (a)	Raising funds to support additional educational, sporting, musical, artistic and travel opportunities for children in attendance at the School; (b)	Providing grants to the School for the acquisition of books and educational materials for the School library and other teaching departments; (c)	Encouraging pupils to develop their full potential by providing prizes in recognition of academic attainment in public examinations; and (d)	Encouraging former pupils to maintain life-long links with the School in an effort to ensure on-going interest in, and support for, the work of the School. The secondary object of the Association shall be to promote the effectiveness of efficiency of charities engaged in relieving poverty and advancing community development through the making of occasional grants or donations to such charities.
