Activities
(1) To promote the relief of illness and suffering and to do so (without prejudice to the generality whether geographical or otherwise of such object: (a) by establinshing, maintaining and conducting residential, nursing and convalescent homes and day centres for the reception and care of persons of either sex (without regard to race or creed or means) who are suffering (at any age) from any terminal illness and by providing medical treatment or attention for any such person as aforesaid in their own homes. (b) by providing or assisting or encouraging the provision of spiritual help and guidance for any persons resident (either as patients or otherwise) or working in any such home or homes as aforesaid. (c) by conducting or promoting or encouraging research into the care and treatment of persons suffering from any illness, disability, disease or informity as aforesaid and particularly into the care and treatment of persons suffering from cancer or terminal illnesses and by providing for the dissemination of the results of such research. (d) by promoting or encouraging or assisting in the teaching of doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and other persons engaged on any branch of medicine, surgery, nursing or allied services relating to terminal illness.
