Annual Report for year 18[th] September 2024 until 25[th] June 2025
Dear Parents & Friends
We had a great year all activities returned Art tutor, Airtastic bowling, a had a takeaway party before Easter break and discos at start of the programme, Christmas dinner in the Cohannon, Easter and the Barbecue– great fun.
In February 2025 we supported the college and attended their drama production of Mary Poppins.
This year we made a concerted effort in September to get new volunteers and we got five girls from local schools and they worked very well with all the members.
Through Dorothy Harker’s contacts at Euro spar and the Dungannon Swifts we have continued with the barbecue and we received £150 from Tesco in May to go towards costs.
We were unable to attend the panto on 7[th] January due to a freak snowstorm in Tyrone. Ulster bus pulled all the buses with meant we had no transport. The Opera House were not very helpful and thus we lost a significant amount of money. At our AGM we agreed to support local theatres groups during the panto season.
Our account balance on 30th April was £6450.81. We would like to thank Stephen McDonald from McDonald O’Neill & Co. Chartered Accountants, for auditing our accounts. As there has been little option for fundraising we would like to thank three local companies who make a regular monthly payment to our account which is gratefully appreciated.
If you know of any company/business that may be able to do the same, we would appreciate their support.
We would like to thank our volunteers for their commitment and time, the Integrated College for the use of their hall, and MENCAP for their help and advice.
We would like to thank you the Parent and Friends for staying with us and using the WhatsApp group chat.
Thank you.
The Trustees.
