Statement of Re(x)mmended Practice {SORP) guidelines. The director5 of the cornpany are also ch8rity trustees for
the purpose of charity law and under the company's constitution are krTh￿ as members of the board oflruslees.
In this report the directors of BaIlygab￿eY Eady Years Ltd present a S￿￿mary of its purpose, governance. activities,
achievements and finances for the financial year 31 March 2023.
The company is a registered charity and hence the report and results are presented in a foffn which cDmplies with the
requirements of the Companies Ad 2006 and. although not Oblig￿ to ￿mPlY wth the Statement of Recommended
Practi￿ applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland FRS 102. the organisatson has implemented its
recommendations where relevant in these financial statements.

Ballygawley Eady Years provides p￿4¢hO01 educalion, play aThJ leaming experiences to children aged 3 and 4 in the
Ballygawley area. Children attend playgroup every day for one of either 2 s￿l0n$ vthich both last 2 hours 30
minutes.

Ballygaw16y Eady Yea[5 Limited's purpose is to promote play based leaming environments for all ¢hildren under
stat￿Ory school age in Ballygawley and the Su￿Ound1ng environs in County Tyrone without distinction of age. gender.
marital slatus, disability, sexual orientation, nationality. ethnic identity, political or religious opinion. by assoaating the
statutory auth¢rities. community and voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a c￿mMOn effort to advance
edu¢alion, and in parb¢ular.

Public benefit
The trustees believe that both elements of the public beneffl requirement are satisfied. The direcl benefit flowng from
this purpose is thal thiklren at this stage have a Safe, healthy and sts'mulating environment in which they can learn
Ihrough play and each child wll be helped to develop their own unKiue sel of qualities and talents to their full
potential. These benefrt5 can be evtdenced by feedback from the parents. by detailed obsetvab'ons and assessments
carried out by staff and by external inspections from the education depathent and social services. The purpose of
the playgroup beneficial and the￿ is no ham flowtng from the purpose. The beneficiaries of the purpose are the
children who attend the playgroup.
Preservation of health
The benficiaries re￿1ve a heatth snack durlng their session which encourages healthy eating at a young age,
parentsl(zrers are informed of any heal￿related infomation relevant to children at this s18ge and the playgroup
liaises with social services and other health officials in regard to rnaknng the health and development of children a
priority.These benefits can be evidenc￿ by feedbad( from parents. records kept of the children and also by external
inspections by social servi￿$ and other hea￿h officAals.
Benefits to trustees
A private benefit to trustees and staff may arise from training in good govemance, finance, thild protection. fir51 aid,
etc. Through this training, skills and experience are acquired which are transferrdble to other settings. These benefits
are incidental and ne￿ssary. because to ensure standards of care are achieved the training must be ftjlfilled.

General responsibilities
The directors are responsible for preparing the financial statsments in accordance with applicable law and
regulations.
Company Saw requires the directors to prepare finanaal staternents for each finanaal year. Under that law the
directors have elected to prepare the finanaal statements in accordan￿ with United Kingdom Generally Accepted
Accounling Practs'ce (United lQngdom Accounting Standards and applicable lawl induding FRS 102 'The Financial
Reporting Slandard applicable in the UK and Republic of Irelan(r' Section 1A (Small Entities). Under company law
the directors must not approve the financial statements unless they are satisfied that they give a true and fair view of
the slate of affairs of the company and of the surplus or defictt of the uimpany for that period.
In preparing these finanaal statements, the directors are required to:
select suitsble accounting policies and apply them consistently-
make Il￿gements and estimates that are reasonable and pnMlen(
state whether the finanaal statements have been prepared in acC￿rdan￿ bmth the relevant financial reporting
