## **Notes to the Financial statements for the year ended 31[st] August 2025**

## **1. Accounting policies**

Set out below are the principal accounting policies which have been adopted in the compilation of the Receipts and Payments Account and The Statement of Assets and Liabilities.

## **(a) Receipts and Payments Account**

All items of income and expenditure included within the Receipts and Payments Account have been accounted for on a cash receipts basis.

## **(b) Statement of Assets and Liabilities**

## **(i) Assets retained for the organisation’s own use**

The Organisation has tangible assets as shown in The Statement of Assets and Liabilities which consists of stocks of five booklets. A revised version of “The Work of a Parochial Nominator”; the 2022 publication “Why are we still here (Old Age is no fun)”; the 2024 publication “Church going before, during and after Covid” and small stocks of studies for Lent and Advent.

(Ref note 6).

## **(ii) Investments**

The Organisation has no investments

## **2. Transactions with the Trustees**

Reimbursement of expenses was made to three Trustees totalling £1,104.76

## **3. Governance Costs**

Governance costs of £300 were paid out during 2024-25.

## **4. Euro Membership**

Members who deal in Euro currency are encouraged to pay via Paypal or other bank accounts which can accommodate Euro to Sterling transfers.

## **5. First Things**

Some transactions of First Things were processed through CIEF and are therefore classified as Restricted Funds.

## **6. Booklets**

One new booklet was produced during the year (as above under assets) with a small print run due to costs. Postage per booklet costs more than the booklet print costs. We now only hold stocks of recently published booklets.
