## 3. The Group's purposes are; 

- to reduce rural isolation within the older community and to 

- to provide community recreational facilities for older people in Dunsford and the surrounding area

## 5. This report is for the Financial Year 1st Jan - 31st Dec 2019 

6. We meet each Thursday morning between 10am and 12pm 

During the year, the group organised a varied range of speakers, workshops and activities. These activities are directly linked to the group's purpose as noted at point 3 above; 



JAN- Safe and Well Talk 

- Decoupage (3 weeks) 

FEB - Decoupage 

- Exhibition of Decoupage in Ballymote Centre 

APR - Art Tutor 

- AGM 

- Easter Holidays (2 weeks) 

APRIL/JUNE - Walking Group (weekly) 

MAY- Art Tutor (3 weeks) 

- Meet & Greet session for members participating in Cross-Community 'Peace 1V' Tapestry 

Story Telling session relating to Tapestry. Stories to be put on to 2 tapestry panels. 

JUNE - Chair-based movement (3 weeks) 

JULY - Holidays (2 weeks) 

AUG - Annual Sale/Coffee Evening 

- Tapestry embroidery stitch workshop (5 ladies) 

SEPT - Outing to Ring Of Gullion/Markethill 

- Tapestry embroidery stitch workshop (5 ladies) 

- Macmillan Coffee Morning 

- Big Lottery Funding Training - 2 members 

- Macmillan Coffee Morning 

OCT   - Outing to Cinema to see Downton Abbey 

NOV - 2 Tapestry panels delivered for 5 ladies to complete over the next few months 



- Cheque presentation to local representative from Macmillan 

- Talk about eye care and how falls happen because of a range of eye problems 

- 5 ladies begin work on Tapestry panels (weekly until completed) 

- Christmas Crafts - 1 class 

- DEC    - Tapestry 

   - Outing to St George's Market / Hillmount Garden Centre 

- Micro Grant meeting - 2 members 

- Christmas Lunch - Lobster Pot, Strangford 

- Christmas Holidays (2 weeks) 

7. The group always has regard to the Commission's Public benefit whereby; 

   1. the purposes of the group are demonstrated and are beneficial to all members 

   2. the public benefits are for a group of ladies who meet weekly and those benefits are never to provide private benefits to individuals 

8. Our Financial position is strong; 

Our Opening Balance at 1st Jan 2019 was   £  949.72 

Our total income was                                   £3620.25 Our total expenditure was                           £3914.30 Closing balance at 31st Dec 2018 was          £  655.67 

9. The group has no funds in deficit
