Introduction
I would like to start by giving thanks to the Lord, for enabling and blessing the ministry of Spud Bears throughout the year. Again we have been truly blessed with the support we have received. In a year that yet again was hit by the high cost of living. A heartfelt thank you to each and everyone of our supporters for both their prayers and generous donations.
Moving to Direct Sourcing
Following on from our new trial of direct procurement of the cuddly Teddies and having them shipped from source. We have seen great results and a much lowering of the unit cost, in comparison with shipping via a courier from Northern Ireland to the children’s homes, orphanages and clinics overseas.
Increasing demand for Spud Bears in China
It has been such a blessing to see the work grow in China with the links to the underground churches and we have been able to hear of some of the amazing stories of how the Spud Bears are being used and protected by the Lord.
Continuing of Next Gen Solar Charging
In 2023 we were able to send even more of the Next Gen solar chargers. A total of 150 of the Aluminium cased USB charging 5V 2A units have been sent. Each unit also contains a bright LED torch light which provides a free source of light to people in the night.
