The Charity complies with the duty to have regard to the Commission's Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance: In setting the objectives and planning the activities for the year the trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidan on public benefit to ensure that the activities have helped to achieve the charity's purposes and provide a benefit to the beneficiaries. Achievements and performance Rowallane Community Hub was officially opened on 31 March 2015 having undertaken the substantial project of developing 2 derelict barns and a yard to create a modern, aCSsible, multi-use space available to all members of Saintfield and neighbouring communities. Development costs have included the creation of a community hall and community allotments. During the year the charity has continued to develop its facilities with assistance of grants including from DAERA and Awards for All. Financial review During the year Rowallane Community Hub reiVed grants towards the project to the value of £10,095 (2022 £nil), and generated other income from its facilities of £17,638 (2022 £11,458)- This resulted in an overall surplus of £12,368 for the year.

Company law requires the trustees to Ppare financial statements for each financial year. Under that law the trustees have elected lo prepare the financial slatements in accordan with Unitèd Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practits (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and aF)plicable law). Under company law the trustees must not approve the fjnancial statements unless they are satisfied that they give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charltable company and the Income and expenditure of the charitable company for that period. In preparing these financial statements, the trustees are required to: . select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistenly.
