In all its activities throuohout the )ear. Irish World's Irustees ￿'¢re mindful of the company's
charitable aims and objectiN'es. and acted ii'ith full regard to all available guidance issued bj,
the Charits, Commission for Northern Ireland. All activities Nl-ere for the public benefit aiid
trustees w ere actuated b). their desire to ensure tliat the companN ￿'or￿ toiwards its aiiiis and
obj¢ctiNes. No material or other benefits. or emolumenls of anN kind. accrued to anj trustee,
and no private benefit floi%'ed from the il'ork of Irish World.
Main Activities and achieN'ements
In ?0?? Irish World continued to cater to the interests of people ivith ancestral links to
TJroiie/Fermanaoh. This was achieied i'la the use of its specialist ueiiealogN know'ledge and
data to help an)one ￿ ishinu to pursue their ancestral research. The geographical spread of
enquirers and visitors reflected Ihe broad parameters of the Irish Diaspora - ranging. in
numerical strength. from USA, Britain. Canada and Australia. as ii'ell as man). froni across
Ir¢land. includin(F our core-area of counties Ti'rone and Fermanagh. In all. some 300 people
were as5i5t¢d in finding out more about their fain11￿. roots.

Public Benefit arising from activitie5
Our iiiterest in promoting, interest in local history via the Primarn. Schools competition
continued in 20?? and lie ii'ere able to present a grant to St Malacli! s PS, Glcncull,
BalIygawle￿. The sch(x)I's P7 pupils submitted an excellenl entrN' in the 'My N'eighbourhood,
competition and the a￿ard enabled pupils and teachers lo undertake a daJ'_trip to varioiis
historic siles in Co TN'rone. We look foThiard to promotina this aspecl of our charitable
actiN'ities in tuture and hopc to connect li iih more schools in the cominn Wears.
Financial Position
The trustees are pleased io report a positive financial situation for the )'ear ?022. As set out in
the FinaiTrce Report. income for the N'ear ilas £?8.587 and expenditure amounted to £27.775.
