The Trust is a grant-making body with a Christian ethos which has been established for charitable purposes only, specifically: (i) The provision of formal or vocational education, at any academic level, to individuals throughout the world who would not otherwise be in a position to receive same; (ii) The provision of healthcare services, in whatever form may be appropriate, to individuals deprived of such provision by their economic circumstances, primarily in developing nations but not exclusively; (iii) The prevention or relief of poverty and relief of those in need, primarily in developing nations but not exclusively; and (iv) The regeneration of communities through funding projects aimed at achieving physical, social and economic improvements at community level, benefitting individuals within communities throughout the world. Such purposes must be carried out exclusively in a manner that is for the benefit of the public and is recognised by the law of Northern Ireland as being charitable.
