The Association is established to advance and promote the benefit of the people of the shores of Lough Neagh and their environs of Northern Ireland (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”) and in particular to: a) advance education about the local history, photography, folklore, culture, and heritage of the area of benefit for the benefit of the general public; b) to educate the general public by promoting awareness of, and research into, the history, photography, folklore, culture, and heritage of the area of benefit; c) to carry out research into local history by collecting and recording information on all aspects of local folklore and history
