The lief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability. financial hardship of other disadvantages. MUVE strives to work in meeting (he requirements of Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act i.e. supporting undei-represented groups and has developed a range of initiatives to support such affected individuals. The organisation has a range of youth. older people, disability-based supports and interventions in operation. The groups support of those who are vulnerable, isolated, marginalised and who have often experienced profound acts of injustice. Counselling targets were exceeded, and during the year addition service was provided to meet Ihe increased demand for the service. In addition to breaking soaal exclusion and stigma, we aim lo provide a th'endly face and a sympalhelic ear. MUVE employ a health and well-being worker which provides support lo MUVE'S core membership. We have set up telephones support line which has been very successful with over 600 cont8Cts. The weekly health and wetlbeing support 5ewviee has also enjoyed growth with vulnerable membors accessing the service from across Mid Ulster - we have The Chatterbox club who havé people who are Isolatèd meet regularly. MUVE have now introduced daeS such 88 chair yoga and have wn a programme alongside Boots Phamiacy which has encouraged rnernbers to ¢re8le friendships arhd gain knowledge in services available in our local area. We have 8¢hieved our largels in terns of complementary therapies,. as usual we allocAted therapies on 8 quarterly basis with an excellent uptskfy. Mctims and survivors often report to us the benefits of the therapies in relleving stress and anxiety as well as aSSlSting Wlth pain management. These benefits are captured and 8re reported ba¢k to our core fijnders,. Thé Victims and Survivors Service. Monthly coffeè momings continue to be popular with good attendances covering all manner of health, educational, welfare and other issues of related interest. MUVE have provided a pensionefs Christmas Dinner at the Ioc81 Golf Club providing a hot m&al lo over 120 members. On 16th November MUVE ran our first Craft Fayre. tables for thk4 event were sold out. A large nUMr of people attended, all st811 holders said they found it very successful, the rnosl money they h3ve raised 81 an event. MUVE raised over £3000 from this ent, 8nd this will be a yearty event due lo its success. Another successfvl went was held on 23rd Novèmbèr MUVE ran a vory $uceassful Musical festival was held in Cookst¢)wn RBL, this was a sellout event.

Sollus Highland Dancers done several dance roLrtines and stew was served at the interval. The fvnding lo support this came from Mid Ulstér Council and with help from tickets sales and raffle much needed fvnds wefe raised. On 25th January MUVE ran a Bums NwJht at Cookstown RBL. Ballybriest Pipe Band, Sollus Highland Danr$ and DJ Ivan Webb provided the entertainment. This was a well-SLSPPOrted event, and Cannon Porteous addressed the Haggis. The group has continued to successfully Tun a both dub which has grown in nurnbers over the year. The membeTs meet at the completion of their current book to review and report their ffindings. Two walking dubs run biweekjy, MUVE offer metal detection and more recenlly have introduced 8 fishing ac8demy. This along wilh the ladie8 craft night and the hen shed provides many evenings of chal and friendship. These Classès run throughout Iha year which many members rely on to pass the long, lonety evening. WELFARE SUPPORT The numbers of members who avail of the welfare support Servi are a180 3leady with a continued inffta$e in the number of people requesting support wth Person81 Independent Payment IPIP, TPDPSI applications. In addition there has been a significant increase in the number of members requiring Appeals Tribunal Represenlalion. lan Irwin (SEFFI continues to support members wth advocacy and legaGy SUPFX)rt on a weekly basis. SOCIAL SUPPORT MENNEN SHED- In temis of dasses and courses we delivered a lde variety ofcours&s a¢ro$s thè ffinan¢ial yeaf including ¢ro¢hg1, black Ihom. lathing, uafting and wood working. The shed provides a safe space for members to leèm and develop new and old skills. We have manged to include local school and youth services within the shed. The shed is utilised five days a week and three evenings per week. We have noticed the number of members using the Shed increase steadity. MUVE arranged a Church service. a trip to Hillsborough Castle, arts and craft classes, liower arranging, woodworking COUTses, Photography course, leather making course, fishing, memory framing class and metsl dgleclion groups. These ¢oursÈs will support partlaP8nts in volunteering capacities within the widerwork of MUVE. MUVE also provide educational, skilled and non-skilled training to all membeTS. We also provided a trip lo the Belfast T8tt00. the U13ter Rugby. hetd a table quvz in MUVE, a Halloween event and held a family fishing day. In relation to Iransgenerational. the following was delNered.' A ¢hildren's Christmas Paty Ipantr)mimel. Splash activty and the Bu¥ns night 811 proved to be fants5t events for 811 involved. Walking group- We havè started a walking group whid) is split into 2 tiers. Advanced and beginners. The advanced walkers cover approximately 5- 10 miles of hard terrain which is benefiual for their mental health. The beginners will do less than a mile in a paihed area finishing with a hot cup of tea. This group is more social than exercise. RESPITE MUVE delivered 4 respites breaks which including a men's fi3hirvJ trip in June, ladies spa break In September and trip to the Christmas Markets in Belfast in November arKI 8n appreualion weekend sn February 25. Truth. Ju$ti¢• and A¢kn¢wl•dg•m•nt Wreath Laying- November 09. Memory Quilt completed and a story tel'n9 event on MUVE premises. MUVE continue tr) support those socially isolated and who would have difficulty going on private holidays due to economic hardship due to the rise in the cost of liv¢ng. MUVE have a list of possible independent fespile venue5 that members may be eligible lo avail of. MUVE continue to work alongside the Welfare Support Servtces, URD Benevolent fund, AANI and TBF Thompson rèspite as an example of accommodation available to our members. The mainstay of our service remain5 oul volunteers who provide advice and distribute infomation leaflets. In the year under VIeW over 3.20f) volunteer hours were donated and over 1,500 newsletters were distributed lo members. Over 670 members availed of the weekly texting service, thu3 enrIng that members were kept well Infomied of the various events and services.

A well-attended leaving celebration in March was held for Wendy Gibson, WIK) h8$ been wrfh MUVE for several years. Members and staff gathered lo wish her well and lo acknowledge her valuable c()ntributions to the charity. Wendy was a well-liked and respected member of staff. and her positive attitude and dedication has been greatly missed. She was presented with flowers and a voucher; sh& conlinugs lo be a mgmbtrr and helps wilh the aft ¢las5 and other volunteer tasks. There was a lolal of 4541 interventions during the year across all services and activities. a significant increase on the projected 3210 agrggd target on our delivery plan, with our core funder VSS.
