Public benefit
The main objectives of the Charity are th* of Welfare and support. Are main setvices today include family
suppoo training and education, counsellin& welfare and rights advice. We also have a 50-plus foTUTn and a
youth programme. Tar Anall offers needs-b&sed assistance in that they understand the experiences of their
users and know the servi¢es th￿ are mosi benefici￿.

The relief of poverty
To provide free welfare rights advice and wistance to ex-prisoners and their families in West Belfast and its

To provide free Coun5elling and Emoiional Support to ex-prisoners and their familie5 in West Belfast and its
environs. To Provide free programmes: events and activities suppor¢ing personal development, health
promotion, and healthy living ￿SIStance io ex-prL50ners and their families in West Belfast and its environs.

FINANCIAL REVIEW
The company had net incoming resour¢e5 for the year of £18,723 (2020.. nei outgoing resources of £4801,
which reflected the completion of a numtrtr of projects during the year. Unrestricted funds increased by
£19,008, while Testri¢ted funds decreased by £285.
Tar Anall Have continued to grow and development since its inception in 1995. we have a long tradition of
positive engagement with Republican ex-prisoneTS and (heir families and the wider cominunity. Tar Anall
have a]so developed strong and pr(MJuctive partnerships whit a rdnge of community and training
organisations throiighout the wider Belfast are& Twenty-Five year5 after its creation, Tar Anall continues to
develop as an organi5ation and inCr￿e its capacity to deliver quality services and address the real need ai)d
concerns of our services users. Through determination, co-operation and collective action it has increased
staff skills and capacity. secured vital resources and attt2cted funding to provide quality service.
It has been a very different and difficult year for all due io COVID-19 Pandemic year. Tar Anall were
successful in obtaining support grants from a number of sources to enable the project to assist with providing
emergency food and hygiene pack to those socially isolated and m051 vulnerable within the community. The
5UPPOrt also allowed for the delivery of emotional and wellbeing couns¢115ng via telephoiie and were
permitted, fa¢e to face support for those suffering from mental health and isolation. It allowed for Funding io
provide pre-employment CSR Training to support the ihose living in poverty and InCre￿e tlieir potential to
gain employment and for the purchasing laptops which enabled Tar Anall staff to continue to operate onliiie
and provide supw)rt to those most vulnerable. We also received funding io make our premises COVID safe.
enabling us to install protective screen& hand saniÈiser stations. temperature gage, at)d signage and have a
COVID Risk ASs￿sMent carried out. We received COVID Recovery funding to assist Tar Anall with costs
associated with the delivery of pre-employment training which we were unable lo offer due to the
restrictions associated with the pandemic.
However, when restrictions were lifted and the detnand for pre-employmeni Iraining there wa5 iii a marked
increase in demand for services and supw>rt. With this renewed dernand and in conjunction with existing and
new partnerships TaT Anall facilitated 17 accredited pre-employment training courses 10 255 participants. Of
the 255 participants that have completed the pre-employment itaining more than 185 have successfully
gained employment in the variou5 employmeni sector5 in this year alone.

Regardless of funding restriction arHI due to the generosity of volunteers who work within ihe Structure of
