## **Overview of Christ Believers Evangelical Church** 

Christ Believers Evangelical Church was incorporated in February 2016 as an initiative to bring together those of a similar faith to pray and support each other. 

We recognise that a sense of community is a powerful tool with which to equip people, no matter where they are in the world, and this serves to ground and empower them as they face challenges in their everyday lives. 

In Belfast, because of the difficulties in the world, people are arriving seeking a new life and coming to a strange country to ‘start over’ is very daunting. Most of these arrivals are families and the sense of isolation they feel when they arrive can not be underestimated as they attempt to navigate their way through the alien system of officialdom. 

Christ Believers Evangelical Church is a programme that has seen these people welcomed and more importantly, given a community on which they can depend on for support, not only in the logistics of adapting to their nerw home but also in a spiritual way too as they come together to pray. 

## **What Christ Believers Evangelical Church has achieved** 

From March 2023 – February 2024 Christ Believers Evangelical Church’s main purpose was to provide physical and spiritual support to families as they arrived in the country. In addition to the challenges of being new into a country, families face the same difficulties as any other family: addiction, racism, marital problems etc. We provide counselling services for all these and seek to prvide extra curricular activities to enhance that sense of belonging and of community. 

Christ Believers Evangelical Church has secured a more permanent base which has proved to be a comfortable and safe place for our community to attend, to pray, to receive support as and when it is needed and the Church continues to develop and remain at the heart of our community.
