Objectives

The objective of the trust is to provide financial assistance for successful applicants for their third level music education. To assist in the provision of accommodation, tuition and the provision of musical instruments.

Public benefits

The direct benefits of the Charities purposes are to improve the musical skills of the young and promising musicians defined as those showing from an early age the possibility of achieving excellence in advancing their musical talents. The Charity will provide funds to finance extra tuition, specialist training and the provision of musical instruments for those who might not be able to afford such costs themselves. Such improved skills will be demonstrated through the educational attainment of each musician through their retrospective disciplines and proved and evidenced by such improved skills.

Any private benefits that might arise, for example the benefit orchestras might gain from having the improved musician in their number would be incidental to the carrying out of the purposes of the Charity, but this would be offset by the wider and indirect benefit to the community at large who would be able to share in the musicians improved skills through public performance.
