The purpose of the charity is the relief of those in need by reason of youth, age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage through the provision of financial assistance by way of grants. The availability of such grants are by application through an Ireland wide network of Fund Representatives.

The Trustees at the time of this report are John Richardson, Val Young, Robert John Clarke and David Scott, there are therefore 4 Trustees.

The Benevolent Fund continues to address a wide number of requests for assistance, during the year under review | st December 2024...30th November 2025 dispersed some £122250 in Grants to over 491 recipients ranging from death grants, educational bursaries, aid to flood victims, and aid to missionary and other agencies, worldwide. All within the public arena and within the parameters of Public Benefit. Evidence as to the helpful nature of these grants is by way of positive response from recipients.

The Trustees are conversant with the requirements of the Charity Commission Public Benefit rules and fully comply. Grand Royal Arch Purple Chapter of Ireland Benevolent Fund continues to derive satisfactory income from donations [public services] membership subscriptions and general donations. A portfolio is under management of Rathbones Ltd and the income derived from these investments provides sufficient resources to address grant applications. The trustees are content to work within the parameters of income without drawing upon capital. Income for the year under review was £156505.23
