What our organisation does Our organisation is made up ol a group of parents and staff of R055tulla School. As è group we strive to ensure that all parents and staff are actively involved in our artivities. We believe thzt communication is key and we do this by keeping our F3cÈbook and Twitter feeds up to date and utilising the School Newsletter. Every year we organise 8 calendar ol events, examples ol these are Clnema Trlp, Halloween Ballot, 6ingo Night, Svperfflarket Bag Pack, Spring Falr. We work alongside the school to agree expenditure of fvnd5 to purchase educational resourte5 or equipment to benefit the pupils in the School. Examples ol these are InrroductiotTr of a chill out garden, ipad5. cycle helments. additional gym/play equipment etc. R0$5tulla 15 a school for chlldern with a moderate learning difficulty and a$ such has a high proportion of childrÈn on the Aut15tK Spectrum Public benefits The trustees have complied wlth the duty irTr Section 17 of the Chèrltl@s Att 2011 to have due regard to guldance pvbllshed by the Charity Commission, Including public benefit guidance. Purpose Advancing the educètion of pupils in the school The benefit. lor the children of Rosstulla School, th3t flows frorn thi5 purpose is supporting the educational progress and attainment of pupi15 in the school through the provision ol resources, events and activities and by buil(ling link5 Wlth the local cornmunity. This can be demonstrated by pupils having access to resources, events, 3¢tivities and link5 Wlth the local communlty which are not 3vail3ble through direct 5£hDoI funding. Charity trustees IParent5 and Friend5 of Rosstulla School committee members) are usually also parents at the school which their children attend and hence gain benefit in the s8me way as all other beneficiaries. The benefit, for the children of Rosstulla school, that flows from this purpose is having 8n activÈ Parents and Friend5 8roup which Is able to fundraise, provide a number of events 8nd activities for pupils at the school and their families, fund additional resources for the school and build links with the local community. We work in close partnership with the school 3nd engage with the parents for support. Charity trustees IParents and Friends of Ro55tulla School committee membersl are usually also parents at the school which their children attend 8nd hence gain benefit in the same wèy as all other beneficiaries. We continued to hold monthly meetings and were in close contact with the school who's preSentate$ would attend these meeting5. Fund Raisine-we took part in two bag packs and held 3 Chri5tma5 Fair and ballot Events- Cinema morning and we made a donation to the school to purchase outdoor equipment.
