## **Achievements and performance**

Scraghey & District Community Development Association operates a small rural community centre for the benefit of local residents in Scraghey, Castlederg Co Tyrone. The Centre was established with BiG Lottery Space and Place Funding. The Group identified the need to transform the space in 2012 when the Primary school closed down and the identity of the community was at risk as there was no facility left in the community. The Group purchased the school and with the help of BIG Lottery funding transformed it into a new community facility opened in 2016. The Centre has progressed good relations, cross border cooperation, increased capacity, utilised under used derelict space and created a sense of community. Services provided in the Centre include a range of social activities for young and old including social dances, cards, yoga, and hire of facility for private parties. Funding from various funding organisations allow the charity to make continued improvements to the Centre in the period including new blinds and gates.
