Annual Report (Incorporating the Director's Report) {contit>uedJ Year ended 31 March 2020 Achievements and perfonnance Ballykinlar Cross Community Playgroup is extremely pleased wth the progression made over the past year while continuing to meet its key objectives. It is registered for1 children with the Department of Health and Social Services and is now currently funded by the Department of Ectucalion for Northem Ireland for 19 pre-school children. There are currently 17 children enrolled in the group, 12 of whom are in pre - school year and 5 in their pre preschool year. There are 4 members of stsff 2 of which are permanent. While there has been a reducts.on in current intske the committee is confident that this will be temporary. The playgroup remains on a sound financial footing. a great reflection of the hard work and achievements of the staff and committee throughout the year and a demonstration of the high esteem in which the organizalion 15 held within the local ¢ommunily. The association has excelled in all external inspections. We are currently member5 of Early Years - the organisation for young children and underpin their values. Financlal review The charity's incoming resources for the year ended 3110312020 amounted lo £51,619 12019.£51,8011 Total funds al 31.03.20 amounted lo £67.14012019 £76,702). The company remains financially sound despite the pressures on funding and the number of pupils is encouraging which secures the financial position of the company. The direclors are satisfied with the financial position and are hopeful that the company will continue to flourish wth the support of the local community. Reserves Policy The charity does not have a fomal reserves policy. The trustees believe that due lo the rectjrring nature of the Income received by the charity il holds sufficient reserves to meet its requirement foe the short lo medium lemi. Plans for future periods The group is satisfied that the arrangements are in place for il lo cater adequately for the present numbers and lo cope with any future expansion. The company continue to seek funding from all available sources in order to continue lo enhance the quality of service that il provides.
