The Trustees present the annual report for Larne Gospel Hall for the year ended 31, December 2022
Objectives and Activitie5
The charitable purpose of Larne Gospel Hall 15 the advancement of religion and the relief of poverty.
The principal function of Larne Gospel Hall is to advance the evangelical Christian Faith for the
benefit of the public through various attivities including meetings, youth activities and
parentltoddler groups. The relief of poverty or financial hardship by means of practical help.
Achievements, Performance and Publlc Benefit
The trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity commlssion for Northern Ireland's
guidance on public benef it to ensure the activities entered into during the year have helped to
achleve the Churches objectives and activities, as well as providing public benefit and the relief of
poverty.

Our operatlng Income and expenditure report shows a deficit in 2022. We expect a surplus in 2023.
Higher energy costs increased our expenditure in 2022.
GolnE Concern
The trustees have reviewed the budgets for the year ahead and are satisfied that there are adequate
funds in place to ensure Larne Gospel Hall can continue its activities and the f inancial statements for
the year ended 2022 can be signed off as a going concern.

The charitable trust deed made the 2. day ofjune 2014 is the governing document for Larne Gospel
Hall.
Recruitment and Appolntment of Trustees
There must be at least 3 trustees. Every trustee must be appolnted by a resolution of the trustees
passed at a special meeting. In 5elettin8 individuals for the appointment as trustees, the trustee5
must have regard to the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of
the charity.

Compliance and Public Benefit
The trustees have glven careful consideration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's
guidance on public benefit to ensure that activities entered into during the year have helped to
achieve the trustees objectlves and activities, as well as providing public benefit and the relief of

Statement of Trustees Responsiblllties
The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, report and statement of receipts and
payments and statement of a55ets and liabilities in accordance with applicable law and regulations.
The law applicable to charities in Northern Ireland wlth income of less that £250,000 requires
trustees to prepare a statement of receipts and payments and a statement of asset5 and liabilities
for each financial year.
The trustees are responsible for keeping accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain
the transactions of Larne Gospel Hall.
