## **ANNUAL REPORT 2023** 

In April of this year, FOCUS commenced another yearly contract of core funding from the Community Investment Fund delivered by the 

Department  for  Communities.  This  funding  has  been allocated on a yearly basis for now, and the funding this which will take us to March 2024. The year up organisation continues to support community groups in the area. 

FOCUS continue to operate at its full potential. FOCUS has  been  accepted  to  sit  as a social partner  on the Peace Plus Partnership for Fermanagh & Omagh, the Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership, Omagh Independent Advice Services, Omagh Forum for Rural Associations and Omagh Community House. 

FOCUS were successful in obtaining funding from the Homeless Prevention fund within NIHE. The funding will help create a Community Café space for all. 

FOCUS were also successful with an application for a Carers project from the Dept for Health via the Community Foundation NI. The project will run for two years and will include activities, events and advocacy for Carers in the Omagh area. 

An application to the Arts Council for the creation of an Omagh Samba Band has been successful and sessions have been running for a number of weeks. 

FOCUS continues to provide full line-management for the New Beginnings, Community Voices” project based within Omagh Community House, which is now finishing up  its  fourth  year,  with  the  hope  of  a  successful application for year 5.

Throughout the year, FOCUS continue to work in the background with groups, ensuring that their finances and Governance is in good standing and to assist them with returns to the Charity Commission and for new groups, assistance in registering as a Charity. 

FOCUS continue to provide resources and equipment to Community Groups in order that they can host events/activities with the most up-to-date technology and audio-visual equipment 

As  an  organisation,  we  have  great  support  from  the management committee and its members have showed a lot of time and dedication to FOCUS. We hope to continue to learn from the vast experience at hand and to thank them for their continuous support and guidance.
