## Activities

**Purposes:** The objects of the Forum shall be to promote the benefit of people resident in Omagh Town and surrounding district of Omagh Town (the "area of benefit") without discrimination on the grounds of sex, age, disability or of political, religious or other opinions by associating the appropriate statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and local inhabitants in a common effort to advance education, promote the protection and preservation of health, relieve poverty, and to provide or assist in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation. With the object of improving the conditions of life for the said people and in particular: (a) Promote education and awareness of good citizenship among residents in the area of benefit; (b) Provide encouragement and practical support services to existing and new community-based charitable organisations in the area of benefit (herinafter called "the associations") designed to increase their efficiency and effectiveness in acheiving their charitable objects.
