CHARITABLE OBJEcfivES:
Porneroy Social Activity Group has the ambitlon of Improving the quallty of life experienced
by all members of the Pomeroy Community. Our rural community is based wlthin one of the
most Isolated areas in Northern Ireland in relation to proximity to servlces and amenities,,
therefore, It Is Imperatlve that the recreatlonal servlces and actlvrtles which
we provide continue to exist in order to address this shortfall in provision withln the proxlmlty
of Pomeroy and Mid Ulster. Our organlsation is fully committed to exploring every avenue to
ensure that communty life within Pomeroy is as soclally incluslve, safe and as
Intergenerational as posslble. Part of our fundraising efforts have Included running a '5anta's
8rotto' event in the run up to Christmas to raise funds aimed at increasin8 the capacity of our
organlsatlon to hold more activities within the area. A large proportion of the activities whlch
we provide Pomeroy resldents wlth focus on engagin8 mar8lnalised members of the
communlty, such as the elderlvt women and foreign nayonals that have recently immlgrated
to the area, We also run tea mornin8s and knitting groups for elderly members of the
Pomeroy communlty to engage In. we believe that the social aspect of the actlvltie5 provides
our elders the opportunity to socialise and engage with thelr peers In relaxln& tolerant and
safe environment. We have the ambltlon of hosting several fundraising events In
collaboratlon wlth other community groups operating within the area to emphasise our
commltment to communlty Ilfe wlthln Pomeroy.
CHARITY ACTIVITIES AND REVIEW OF THE YEAR:
Santa'5 Magical Forest
Frlends of Cavanakeeran
At the AGM 2019, Ciaran Quinn gave a report of the previous yearfs hlghlights, of whl¢h
always includes Santa's maglcal forest, which take place in Pomeroy Forest annual, its was an
outstandlng success and saw the local community young and old come together to help for
the charlty. And not forgettingthe gener05ty of the people who have donated to the charlty
from the Frlends Cavankeeran.
The trustees in setting the obJectives and Charity Commlsslons Public Beneflt Requirement:
planning the activities for the year have considered the Charity Commission for Northern
Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensure that the activitie5 have helped to achieve the
charity's purposes and provide benefit to the beneficiaries.

FINANCIAL REVIEW..
The financial report for the yearwas presented atthe 2019 AGM and accepted and approved
by the trustees. Brian Robinson Accountancy Ltd has carried out a review of these
accounts and ha5 completed an Independent examiner's report on the accounts.
Income for the year was £97,318 and expenditure for the year amounted to £53,041 giving
an overall surplus of £44,277 for the year.
At the year end funds at bank amounted to £108,631.
The Trustees can confirm that the charlty does not hold any funds that were materially in
deficbt at the end of the year,
