The charity's trustees have prepared the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008. (They have presented to me all the accounts books & paperwork, including all data held on Sage software on computer and paper printouts of all accounting reports).
It is my responsibility to:

@ follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Commission under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act
« state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Report
| have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and my examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act. My examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. |t also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the charity trustees concerning any such matters.
My role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me cause to believe:

That accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 63 of the Charities Act

That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records

That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act

4, That there is further information needed for a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Dear charity trustees of Sp.|.N.I. — Spinal Injury Northern Ireland,
The aim of this letter is to set out the basis on which | act as Independent Examiner for the charity.
Roles
As charity trustees, you are responsible for maintaining proper accounting records and preparing the financial statements. You are also responsible for making available to me all of the charities accounting records and related papers as required.
As Independent Examiner, | have a responsibility to report whether the accounts are drawn up in a manner consistent with the founding documentation of the charity, the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 and The Charities (Accounts and Reports Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015. The responsibilities for any other services provided will be agreed in advance through a further Letter of Appointment.
